Seattle "Islamophobia" Hustlers Jump The Gun

"To keep the ummah (Muslim community) in a jihad frame of mind" in Western locales, a sense of alienation and victimization must be peddled by local "Islamophobia" husters. That dovetails conveniently with what was previously a little-known document on an international plan called "The Project," being advanced by The Muslim Brotherhood. Put plainly, the victimization tactic is not about civil liberties: it is a crucial component of a long-articulated strategy to overthrow Western civilization and its supporting institutions.

I think we will resist the "cartoon jihadists," although their ilk and apologists are increasingly weaving themselves into the fabric of our open society, especially in painfully tolerant locales such as Seattle. As demonstrated in today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the group that unctuously calls itself "Hate Free Washington" seems more convinced the feds are the bad guys than the purported hatemongers the feds are targeting for deportation or prosecution.

At issue in today's news are the activities of Abrahim Sheik Mohamed of the Abu-Bakr Mosque. He is believed by the feds to be in the U.S. illegally, and according to federal sources, he has an alarming background. He reportedly has ties to a Somali terrorist group; has reportedly advocated taking by force a Jewish neighborhood (Seward Park, I believe, although that's not entirely clear) and one synogogue; and reportedly served as spiritual advisor to the crackpots at a once-notorious Rainier Valley barber shop. The former Crescent Cut Barber Shop, 7821 Rainier Ave. S., figures into another investigation, and was described in a federal affidavit as:

"...an anti-American training ground for Muslims" where the barber, Ruben Shumpert, was teaching children ages 11 to 17 "in anti-American rhetoric, as well as training the children in how to shoot and fight the Americans..."

There was interesting reading material at the hate headquarters:

In court documents, prosecutors listed titles such as "The Terrorist's Cookbook" and "The Mini-manual of the Urban Guerrilla." The group's "rallying cry was Black Hawk down," said (a federal informant) in apparent reference to the shooting down in 1993 of a U.S. military helicopter in Somalia and the killing of its crew.

But of course, the current proceeding involving Mohamed is quite possibly just a plot to persecute Muslims.

Pramila Jayapal, executive director of Hate Free Zone Washington, a civil rights group that supports immigrants it thinks law enforcement has targeted, expressed deep skepticism about the fairness of the proceedings against Mohamed...."This hearing is an embarrassment to the ideal of U.S. justice," she said. "Just because someone says something is true or alleges something is related to terrorism does not mean it is."

Mohamed has able legal counsel. If he is being falsely characterized, that should be determined. But within the necessary and just parameters of the current deportation hearings, let's find out soon, shall we?

Duplicate effort... this is already being done at Evergreen State.

3. Liberals whine and cry about "the far right" plotting to take over the country yet look the other way when it comes to Muslim fanatics actually training to do that. Ironic, huh?

Hey libs, do you think the Islamofascists will look too kindly on abortion, gay rights, gay marriage, religious freedom and free speech? They don't even allow women to vote, drive, work, or go to school. Gays are subject to the death penalty. And we all know how well they tolerate Jews, not to mention dissenting opinions and cartoons from European newspapers.

4. I am intrigued by the notion that the award-winning Seattle newspapers, the epitome of cutting- edge reportagery, are "sensitive" to the followers of "seventh century enlightenment". Appeasement didn't work with National Socialism and it doesn't work with religious zealots. If all it takes is a cartoon to give a "follower" an excuse to commit violence, it's time for.........The Crusades 2006.

You know what you look like with your best bag and your bad shoes? You look like a rube...
