Deanron says "turnaround team" not needed
USA Today reports
Friday, February 10
Seattle - King County [Executive/Elections Director Deanron] says the elections department has made so much improvement that it no longer needs an overhaul by an outside turnaround team. The team was hired on the recommendation of a task force looking into problems exposed in the close 2004 race for governor.
[Emphasis added] In fact, the team was
never hired. Deanron is apparently satisifed that "mistakes" in the Elections office are now being satisfactorily covered up, or at least not finding their way into the mainstream newspapers (e.g. the fact that
Logan allowed 40% of the challenged mail ballots to be counted before they could be adjudicated, or the fact that they're proposing a move to all-mail voting when the existing mail ballot accounting system is not actually capable of accounting for all mail ballots)

1. Stefan,
During your lawsuit with Sims, make sure your lawyer states all this for the record and submits your ENTIRE WEBSITE into evidence. These guys are criminals.
2. Is it just me or does Logan look like Ron's continually abused valet. I get the sense that Ron beats him down on a regular basis (during which I doubt he breaks a sweat).
3. It should also be pointed out, as Stefan has previously noted, that of the 1,353 pairs of duplicate registrations initially found in the new statewide voter database, 82% percent of these names are in King County alone.
4. Well, when you have a truckload of corruption putting Democrats into office, you tend not to want to turn it around.
5. Is there a troll convention going on or is Fidel Castro in town?
6. Amused -
I'm pretty sure they've been soiling their undies over the cartoons and today is wash day.
7. Of course it's not in the mainstream newspapers. That would require some real reporting, as well as fact checking. Shoot, someone might even be required to get out of their !@#$ing chair and off their a$$ to do some real journalism in this town.
8. This whole Elections Office fiasco just plain makes me angry and Deanron's arrogance is beyond belief.
9. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. If I kept getting re-elected, I wouldn't try to fix anything (except the next election in my favor again).
10. Ah yeah right! What the hell ever sims! YOU JERK!
11. Dean Logan looks strikingly similar to Inspector Clouseau. No wonder he can't find anything wrong with the election system.
12. It's good that they operate as a pair. I'm sure it takes both of them to get their collective IQ up to 120 or so.
13. How can this continue unanswered. Where is the U.S. Justice Dept? These people are down right vile.... crooked as a dogs hind leg. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE.
14. No indictments.
No problem.
Business as usual.
No turnaround need.
DeanRon, DBA as Fraud Inc. will continue as scheduled.
15. Hey, for these two slimemolds, it's Mission Accomplished. They got Fraudoire into the governor's mansion and sent Rossi home to Bellevue (never mind that they had to commit fraud to do it). So why should they lift a finger to change anything? As long as the same broken, corrupt system stays in place, they are assurred of staying in office. Honesty and doing the right thing means nothing to these dirty 'Rats.
I told everyone here when Fraudoire ginned up that fraudulent "Blue Ribbon Commission" with Sam Reed as chief Commissar after the 2004 theft, that nothing would change. You were just spinning your wheels trying to be good citizens and playing along with that, hoping that things would get done and change for the better. Well, we see now, fat chance. Like the old song says, we can only hope, "we won't get fooled again".
16. my my my...what WEE little hands dean has. it looks as if they have never done a days honest work.
could i be on to something here???
17. What a bunch of hot air from these people!
18. Could we file an initiative to require that all elections auditors be non-partisan elected officials?
Would be a chance to turn the tables - King County is constantly mandating how the rest of the state is run, now let the rest of the state mandate how King County is managed (since the rest of the state already has elected auditors).
19. FORGETABOUTIT
20. As the old saying goes, "elections have consequences".
We had our chance last November and now must bear the consequences of this corrupt machine politician.
P.S. If you didn't vote in King County and you were a resident last November; Don't Bitch! you're part of the problem.
21. I don't think there was a number that KC couldn't have come up with to make Christine Queen. It was just to easy to keep finding stuff and culling out votes for Rossi.
22. ROFLMAO
23. About the picture in your article...It evokes an memories of a song. Ebony and Ivory together
commit perfect Larceny.
24. Hey Jocko...
Ebony & Ivory...very good... but I like Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber
25. So much improvement.......Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha....Give us a break .....Please........
26. "We had our chance last November and now must bear the consequences of this corrupt machine politician."
I just have to shake my head when I read comments like this!
I wish people would understand that it didn't matter how many people turned out to vote against Ron Sims (and company) last November! 98% of the votes could have been for David Irons - but because of the fraud machine that is in place in King County elections - the Democrat candidates and liberal-backed initiatives will ALWAYS come out on top in the vote count.... Sure - they will allow a few powerless Republicans to occaisionally win - but only a few - and that's just to take away suspicion. And they will allow an initiative to pass if they believe they can still screw it up in their liberal-leaning judicial system....(ie; $30.00 car tabs, etc..)
That's why the ONLY way to stop this machine would be a Federal investigation......until that happens - your vote - and the votes of all law abiding citizens in this state - will not count....(or be counted in the manner in which you voted..)
27. Jocko--
Ebony & Ivory.....most excellent!
Is it just me or does Dean appear to be leaning slightly to his right away from Sims????
Abused animals often flinch away from their abusive masters.
28. What's with Ron's name just above his head? Was that an add-in on the photo, or does Ron have problems remembering who he is? Dean DOES look pretty hen-pecked in the photo...
29. Ron Sims heads up how many department and agencies? King County, Sound Transit, KC Elections Department. Would the readers please complete the list.
How many of the agencies that Ron Sims chairs or otherwise leads are embroiled in scandal and corruption? Three come to mind: King County, Election Department and Sound Transit. Does Ron lead the Port of Seattle or does the Port escape his control? My point is unlike fabled Midas who turn touched things into gold, everything Ron or Queenie touches turns into a cesspool of corruption. Wonder how well either of these remarkable leaders would do in private enterprise?
30. katomar - I believe they felt the need to add the caption in order to avoid the obvious confusion distinguishing sims from Jabba the Hutt.....
31. Thanks, Soup! I needed that!
32. Truly nothing surprises me about KCE anymore!I like Soup's coments above.
33. Just what you would expect from these two dimwits. Of course they're not going to take any further action. Why should they, when they have the fix in for the DemocRATS every time?
We are about ready to move out of the state to get away from all the crooked, corrupt politics in King County and other parts of Washington. I would not be surprised to find others thinking along the same lines.
34. Is the CASTRO style of election's our new updated and reformed King County Elections Dept guidelines ?
