And speaking of the initiative to protect government employees from being forced to pay union dues (scroll down to the earlier post for more) ...
Presumably to quash the bad publicity of state workers getting fired for not signing up with the union, the Democrats in the legislature have introduced a bill to allow the union to skim its extortion payments directly from the employees paycheck: SB 6644 "Deducting union dues for state employees"
Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at February 03, 2006 10:49 AM | Email ThisWhat do you think about Tim Eyman filing 11 different initiative proposals so far this year, plus the one referendum proposal on HB 2661?
Eyman likes to file multiple initiatives on the same subject, maybe so he can get nice sounding numbers for them (i.e. I-695, I-747, I-900, etc.).
Posted by: Richard Pope on February 3, 2006 12:09 PMThe words “fascism,” and “union,” are literally synonymous, Mussolini was a socialist, and formal “Fascism” was started by Mussolini with a group of union leaders. Mussolini combined partisan fascist symbolism with union leadership to secure obedience of the workforce through government control. That doesn't mean that unions in-themselves are fascist, only that merging government authority with union power is a fascist methodology with consequences demonstrated by history.
Mussolini distorted the reality of this seizure of power to consolidate a totalitarian socialist dictatorship. Fascist symbolism using deliberate lies and deception is practiced by liberals like those legislators in our state who take every cynical opportunity to support total control over state workers. I’m not saying that Washington State will become like pre-war Italy, but that unhealthy conditions occur when we are complacent about the consequences of seizure of unwarranted political power.
Liberals love to say that fascism is an extension of conservative ideology, so that they can rant on about GW Bush and Hitler, but it is just more empty liberal progressive re-invention. Freedom in America is incrementally endangered by the ignorance of the left and the cause of fascism is alive and well in Washington State with consequences demonstrated by SB 6644.
This is part of an ongoing series of incremental efforts by the public sector unions and the Democratic Party in power to confiscate payroll deductions for political contributions to the Democratic Party despite protection put in place by Washington State voters through the Paycheck Protection Act. Just think, the NEA alone outmaneuvered it’s members and the Paycheck Protection Act to the extent that,
The National Education Association (NEA) did, in fact, launder more than $400,000 into our 1996 election. Nearly the entire $1.4 million campaign against school choice and charter school initiatives were illegally funded by the NEA and WEA.Also consider the State of Labor in California Public Sector Unions. In California 2004 campaign finance records indicate that 89 % of partisan donations were given to Democrat candidates. This amounts to almost 34 million dollars to democrat candidates and causes in 2004.
Nice power grab eh?
I look forward to more of the idiotic liberal support for the Washington State Federation of Employees use of government enforced extortion to keep employees in line with the fascist liberal agenda.

Posted by: Homer Phobic on February 3, 2006 02:19 PMDon't get me wrong. I have my utmost respect for the reverend, but maybe getting bad legislators unelected would be far more effective (and he can influence in this regard) to accomplish what he thinks should be accomplished.
Posted by: C. Oh on February 3, 2006 03:23 PMIn other related topics - The so-called liberal drinking society was discussing about sleeping with Tim Eyman the other night - they have earned the recognition as homocrat wing of the Democrat party. But seriously though, Kohl-Welles is a total loon and a socialist beyond reproach and those in her district show a very low IQ or brain-deadness by electing her in the first place.
Posted by: KS on February 3, 2006 07:01 PMLet me get this straight. You think the voters of the 36th District, the most solidly Democratic, best-organized District in the state, with the state's highest Democratic vote totals, would throw our Jeannie Kohl-Welles on KEN HUTCHERSON'S say-so?
Put down your crack pipe and get yourself into rehab fast.
Posted by: Ivan on February 4, 2006 06:37 AMWhen Mr. Weiss has his dumb flabby liberal ass handed to him by arguments rooted in facts as opposed to his liberal prejudice and simple minded bosh, he gets a little testy. He’d rather make up lies and distortions than deal with facts.
He hates to be shown for the (possibly unwitting) fascist that he is, and yet he is anxious to volunteer facts that prove it is so.
It's unconstitutional, is it? Then why don't you challenge it in court and see just *who* has *whose* ass handed to him?
Posted by: Ivan on February 5, 2006 08:26 AMYeah, the Constitution . . . you know, it was America's founding document. Ask your daughter about it;
maybe she knows . . . although given the WEA and the current liberal shape of education, it is quite uncertain.
What did your daughter say about the Constitution?
Let me guess. She said gee Daddy, the Constitution is a living document that can be twisted
out of shape in order to further the aims of liberal socialist fascists just like you.
You’re right, there is no constitutional problem with legally restraining public employees’ freedom to make their
own decisions about the political party they support. Gosh daddy, if I have the power you have when I grow up,
I can also support the seizure of fundamental rights from people who disagree with me, because after all . . . as you say . . .
the Constitution doesn't really mean anything.
