I applauded the SOTU, but then again I was sober

1. Ah, the self-appointed, psuedo-intellectual, neo-socialist, egalitarian, liberal arts crowd has little club.
Bet you that half of them are vegetarians or some other variety of greenfreak.
2. Good. As long as they are drinking, they are ineffective. Us sober folks will continue to work for world peace through democracy.
3. This shows just how out of touch with reality some of these folks are...
"It's like every day in the last six years he's slapped me in the face."
Actually, it's been five. Learn to count.
But besides that, if you make that sort of comment, that you feel like the President is personally slapping you in the face everyday for six... er... five years, you really need therapy.
4. Oh great, another quaint little BDS club. (Bush Derangement Syndrome) This article is telling. Rather than engage in honest debate, most on the left just yell and swear at the TV, and wish that the President "would just go away."
And note how this gets a nice little human interest piece in the P-I. Would there be a human interest piece if some Conservatives got together to watch the SOTU address and cheered and supported the President? Somehow, I don't think so.
Goldy, I hope you've got a nasty hangover. The image of you waking up and rubbing your head, while the reality that Bush is still President sets in, is priceless.
5. The Kool-aid drinking leftists whine, cry, complain and demonize what Pres. Bush said (some of which I don't care about), but the left is totally empty - they have no alternative solutions that they ever talk about. Like Kerry, they just say that they have a plan. They have solutions alright - which they take out of the EU/Socialist playbook, but they know that once people catch on to their ideology, that they won't be able to win on a National level. Moderation is just another obscenity to them.
6. Did they even bother to cover the groups meeting at Ruth's Christ Steakhouse in Sea. and Bellevue who were PRO-President Bush???
Noooooo....
7. oops. s/b "Ruth's Chris". sorry for the typo
8. PLEASE...WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THESE POOR INDIVIDUALS ARE VICTIMS...SOBRIETY DEPRIVED...AND CEREBRALLY CHALLENGED.
THEIR NUMBERS ARE DEPLETING...AND SOON... WITH ANY LUCK...WE CAN ADD THEM TO THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST!!!
9. Tacoma:
It IS fun to watch the ongoing implosion of the Democrat party and the useful idiots therein, isn't it? I didn't think it could get any better than when the put Howlin' Howie in charge of the national committee, but yesterday was a BAD day for the moonbats: 1) Alito was confirmed; 2) "Commander in Chief" was cancelled.
10. KLOWNstein takes credit for this group and didn't even get mentioned in article.
I'll bet that really CHAPS HIS A$$!!!
11. I went to the Montlake Ale House with a buddy many months ago to personally observe the Drinking Liberally crowd.
I wouldn't be too concerned about these KLOWNS.
Just a bunch of MoonBats who's idea of drinking is sipping cordials and eating Free-Range TOFU.
Their favorite drink is the manly GRASSHOPPER!
I also observed several of these PINHEADS walking into the Men's Room together....and staying in there together for an inordinable length of time.
Most real man pat each other on the back and laugh.
These KLOWNS giggle and slap each other on the fanny!!
12. Excerpt:
"It's not Bush that I hate," said Jeff Evans, a software programmer from Seattle. "It's the military-industrial complex he represents. Look at Exxon's recent profits if you don't believe me."
I would be curious to know where the "young, professional-looking liberal" Mr. Evans does his programming, and how sin-free his employer is.
13. Cynical,
He he. That was exactly what I was thinking. That little Pee Wee Herman publicity Whore must be very mad.
14. Perhaps it is time for those of us who are RIGHT to join our KLOWNly friends some Tuesday Night at the Montlake Ale House. Actually, most of these KLOWNS are totally harmless. They enjoy b*tching and complain....but never have a single coherent thought or solution. And they NEVER change one person's political views to theirs. In fact, I'll bet they end up helping the RIGHT way more than the LEFT.
If you go, be warned that these KLOWNS will always try to stiff someone else with the tab! Make sure you put your wallet in your FRONT pocket...although some of these KLOWNS will probably excitedly try to grap it there too! They are so used to handouts. Thankfully, the owners of the Ale House DO NOT take Food Stamps for those manly GRASSHOPPERS! These LEFTISTS probably spend the whole week panhandling for working people's spare change so they can drink with their like-minded KLOWNS.
15. One thing I admire about KLOWNstein is he is consistent....consistently a Media Whore!
I'll bet after not seeing his name he is laying in bed sucking his thumb and huggy his teddy-bear scheming on how to get even with the P-I for daring to snub the LORD OF ALL KLOWNS!
16. It's not Bush that I hate," said Jeff Evans, a software programmer from Seattle. "It's the military-industrial complex he represents...
But I don't think this scumbag will have any problem calling on that same MIC to defend his freedom and keep him and his loved ones safe if need be.
... Look at Exxon's recent profits if you don't believe me."
Oh, geez, heaven forbid, profits in a capitalist economy. Oh, the horror. So this slimemold is a "software programmer"? I wonder if his employer shares his angst about making profits (that are used to pay him). Or maybe he's a government employee? Ah, there you go, work for the gummint, to heck with this private business crap...
Added Ellen Meserow in between sips of red wine: "I just can't even start. It's like every day in the last six years he's slapped me in the face."
Naw, that isn't the President slapping this dingbat, it's probably her "life partner" who happens to be into S&M.
17. Looks like the Liberally Drinking crowd were copying the Democrat wing of the Senate and Congress last night. They looked three sheets to the wind, too. Their behavior was the worst I've ever seen it. They reminded me of sulking children with really bad manners. The disrespect they show for the Presidency is a good indicator of their childishness, and I am just thankful they are so ineffective.
18. katomar--
I guess we'd be looking for alcoholic relief like these KLOWNS if we were in their shoes....don't you think?
Mind-numbing is an essential part of being a LEFTIST PINHEAD. You must keep your brain functioning at less than 50% of capacity at all times....with regular total shutdowns.
19. Katomar,
Agreed. Lets hope they continue on the path they have chosen; it can only lead to ruin. I don't know for sure because I have very few associations with liberals, but I speculate that there are many otherwise committed Democrats who are quietly turning away from the cynical tactics and childishness of the left. The shameless partisanship regarding Alito, the shallow nonsense regarding the supposed wiretap issues, and the deference and decency shown to Bill Clinton by GW all add up to a stark contrast. Albeit slowly, conservatism (practicality and decency) is winning the day.
20. Katomar, I also agree that the D's display was pathetic. I was seriously ticked when they applauded and gave themselves a standing ovation when the president mentioned congress failing to act on his social security reform last session. Truely juvenile display. I also wish I had a nickel for every time I heard "...we can do better" in the pathetic rebuttal. We ARE winning the day. Regular voters and seeing through the farce the left has become. I felt GW speaking to the American people last night and the D's proved themselves foolish, didn't realize how thoroughly they were being chastised (they aren't too keen on the subleties of civilized grown-ups). I thought the address was brilliant
21. IS THE MOUNTLAKE TAVERN THE PLACE WHERE THE BUCKAROO TAVERN PATRONS GO SLIMMING???
22. Yeah, I also thought the standing ovation regaridng Social Security was really telling. They are proud of their obstructionism. They don't want to remedy anything at all on W's watch. They think it would make them look bad. They're doing a real good job of looking bad all on their own, and I think the American public saw it very clearly last night.
23. Katomar,
Agreed. I don't think the Democrats have any idea how big the Social Security issue it and how much it's going to bite them in the ass. Most of the hippie Dems that are still living in the 60s are thinking about Social Security for their own needs. They could care less about the future, they just want it to cover their butts for the next 10 to 20 years.
But, the generations that are coming along behind the Boomers, are going to say to themselves "Why should I pay to keep these hippies fed and their Depends changed?" Social Security is a ticking time bomb. The Democrats ignoring this issue is going to create a gigantic monster that frankly makes the issue of terrorism look small in perspective and that every single elected Republican can point to and say "We tried to warn you."
24. I think the standing ovation regarding Social Security will be used a lot in the future
to illustrate the criminal obstructionism of the left and their absolute denial of reality
at precious cost to the futures of their own constituency.
25. Mr. Cynical, have you seen this:
The Voice of the Neuter is Heard Throughout the Land
The American Castrati
Article
26. I agree with Jeff B.
I was apalled when I heard the applause from the left side of the aisle when the president brought up social security.
What other group of elected officials in all of our nation's history has ever been so proud of doing nothing.
It was childish and it made me ashamed.
27. Scott in Carnation:
n. pl. ca·stra·ti (-t) or ca·stra·tos
A male singer castrated before puberty so as to retain a soprano or alto voice.
Ohmygod---that explains what happened to David KLOWNstein and why Goldy has that hideous squeaky voice!!! The Doctor must have left in a smidgeon of his LEFT testicle!
And the subject of Blog thread was Joel Stein....obviously a decendent of the KLOWNstein family tree. Interesting Scott.
There is something very wrong with these KLOWNS. Could this be it??? Perhaps KLOWNstein could be given Testicle Implants!
28. Watching the washington dem's scream like the melting witch of oz everytime Bush speaks is one of the few pleasures we can enjoy in Gregoire State.
I have to give credit where it's due on the drinking- GOP political functions could put a meth head to sleep.
29. We will just call him David Castrati from now on.
30. pbj--
David Castrati----gotta love that one!
On his Tombstone someday it will read:
Here lies David Castrati
The KLOWN with no balls!
31. OMG CYNICAL!! I have to post (under this taunting pseudonym) just because you make me laugh!!
Thanks for the day brighteners!
32. OOPS! Wrong taunting pseudonym! ;)
33. HowCan--
My pleasure to brighten your day.
How have you been?
I stopped posting at HA over 3 weeks ago.
Your comments were inspiring.
Frankly, I hope all folks who are RIGHT stop so the handful of KLOWNS who post under multiple identities can argue with each other.
KLOWNstein and his band of Ball-less merry boys will be forced to pretend to be RIGHT just to keep the pointless arguments going.
34. "attendance has grown from a half dozen to more than 20 drinkers a week, he said. Guest speakers, including local politicos such as King County Executive Ron Sims and Rep. Ed Murray, have stopped by to address the group."
Can you believe our County executive hangs out with a group of rabid drunks?
The Drinking Liberally crowd has tiny chapters all over the country....They are such a mess!
I accidently found their site during a google search a few months back....Their forums are hysterical....and so sad...
They couldn't agree on whether or not to reserve smoking sections in the bar...Some were rabid anti-smokers and some were rabid smokers! They finally agreed to bring the F'breeze so their clothes wouldn't reveal that they were among the "unwashed" liberal smokers!
I think they have a Gay chapter of Drinking Liberally in Spokane!
35. Mr. Cynical - ROFL; too funny - send those posts over to Horses pitut.org and rattle the Moonbats' cages !
