The preliminary ranking of candidates in ascending order of preference. The first vote, still in progress is in this order --
Knox - not nominated
Velazquez -not nominated
Maeda - nominated and seconded, received 4 votes
Chao - nominated and seconded, received 4 votes
Sibonga - nominated and seconded, received 3 votes
Clark - at this moment Drago is giving her a glowing nomination speech, nomination has been enthusiastically seconded and thirded. Received 6 - 2 on first vote; Reconsidered as unanimous

1. Stefan, your web site has been banned by the station. I got to it alright, but they must have realized I came from here because I got lock up after 30 seconds.
But I do see that you are still correct in your assessment.
2. I doubt the lock up has anything to do with my web site. I imagine that their server is simply overwhelmed with a large volume of traffic for this meeting.
3. Yesterday, Seattle PI had a scolding editorial on the city council especially relating to this appointment. In it, they endorsed Velazquez. I am surprised that the city council goes completely against the wisdom of PI. Maybe, if the tone of the editorial was not as harsh, Velazquez had a chance??????
4. You're right, Stefan, but my interpretation makes for a more lighter reading.
