The beauty and majesty of voting by mail (II)

One of the nice things of voting at the polling place is that the poll workers can make helpful suggestions such as "there are measures on both sides of the ballot"

1. About 15 years ago, my poll workers warned me about my "hanging" chad.

That was before the Florida fiasco for you public school grads.

3. Well, that's a pretty good argument against mail-in ballots. If it is clear that some poll voters don't see side 2 of the ballots, until pointed out to them by poll workers, how is it that they will notice side 2 of their mail in ballot, even if it clearly states "SEE SIDE 2" on the ballot, or is even printed on a separate sheet?

How do we figure voter intent for that?
And more interestingly, who gets to decide what measures get pushed to the "backside" of the ballot and lose votes because of it?

Call me a crank, but the "convenience" of all-mail voting is a "progressive" argument I don't buy into yet.

4. THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGE OF AN ALL MAIL-IN BALLOT ELECTION IS THAT YOU CAN VOTE EARLY AND HAS OFFTEN AS YOU CAN!!!

I FOUND IN PIERCE COUNTY THAT IF YOU GO TO ANY HOMELESS SHELTER, COUNTY OFFICE, CITY OFFICE OR ANY ONE OF A NUMBER OF GOV. PROGRAM OFFICES THEY WILL REGISTOR YOU TO VOTE USEING THEIR ADDRESS NO ID CHECK...NO NOTHING!!!

I WONDER WHO WILL CAST THAT VOTE IF THE "ILLEGITIMATE" VOTER DOSE NOT SHOW UP FOR THEIR BALLOT????

5. Speaking of Elections by mail.... Snohomish County still hasn't sent me my ballot for the upcoming Feb 7th Election.

I suppose they already know I'm not going to vote the way they want me to so why bother sending me a ballot.

6. Hey Mr. RW Wacko, Me too! Last week my wife and son got their ballots but mine has not yet arrived in the mail - and I'm fairly sure it never will come. I've fired off letters to each Snohomish Co councilman requesting that they personnally find my ballot. I'm also going to write to the School Board and superintendent and explain that I wanted to vote for their bond and levy but couldn't because our Snohomish County officials are idiots.

8. The forms should be designed to minimize confusion. However, nothing can force people to take it seriously and follow the instructions.

9. I don't know what the problem is......

We all know that the "diviner's" of voter intent on the King County canvassing board will complete the back of any blank ballots! Sheesh! They will even "correct" those they feel were not cast with the voters "true" intent! (They KNOW what we want...they are professional Nannies!)

We have received 5 phone calls from school district volunteers over the past 3 days to remind us to vote on "both" sides of the ballot if we vote absentee.........sigh...

This should be the final word on why mandatory "All mail voting" is just wrong.

10. I'd rather see all-male voting. Face it there is a pervasive insanity in the King County hierarchy - the pathogen is indigenous to mostly urban areas - it causes looniness, corruption, impaired judgment and leftist ideology and has spread to other nearby larger counties. The only known antigen is mugging at gunpoint or a violent crime against their immediate family that will rattle common sense back into their being. Otherwise the inmates continue to run the asylum.
