![]() | Far-left moonbat Alice Woldt, who lost her primary bid to unseat Rep. Helen Sommers in 2004, has thrown her (tinfoil) hat in the ring for the vacant Seattle City Council seat. |
I'd be surprised if Woldt wins the appointment to the Council. Her politics are a little extreme even for the Seattle Silly Council. On the other hand, although she'd be a disaster as a Councilwoman, she would at least provide a steady stream of entertainment for this blog. (My favorite blog entry about Alice Woldt, for those of you who weren't reading the Shark Blog in early 2004, is the threatening e-mail I received from Woldt's living-at-home adult son. The young man is not an example of "good home-training")
Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at January 10, 2006 10:56 PM | Email ThisEver since Red Dwight Pelz left the King County Council for his own floppo run for our region's largest city's Politburo, we no longer have true Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist/Maoist/Daffy Duckist entertainment. That is unless you consider the Kirkland City Council, which is only a pale and pathetic wannabe of its kindred spirit cousins across Lake Wishingallrepublicanswereoutoftown.
Besides, Ol' Alice obviously needs some steady work with vision care benefits so she can get those librarian or prison issue or whatever specs she wears replaced with something stylish and correct (politically, of course)
Posted by: Piper Scott on January 10, 2006 11:17 PMHow impressive! NOT!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Mr. Cynical on January 11, 2006 12:02 AMI think her son should run for office!
(or should I say..."I belive that little old woman son should go all they way to Olimpia..")
That is just scary!
Posted by: Deborah on January 11, 2006 12:35 AMBefore you go tossing stones how about your little misadventure with the word reckoning earlier today? Here is a hint, you moron....SpellCheck.
Now, your dull and lifeless leader, Sharkansky, pulls out an email from her son, who needs remedial English lessons to be sure, but who nonetheless is not his mom, and attacks her using him. In addition to this we have Piper Scott attacking her glasses and fashion sense. How about I send my daughter, a buy for a large national clothing chain, over to Pipers place and lets how stylish he/she is?
Once again the Rightwingnuts take leave of the issues and go off insulting someone personally instead. Might as well scream terrorists and patriotism too while you are at it. It won't address the issues, but it doe's avoid having to give intelligent argument in support of your views.
Posted by: My Left Foot on January 11, 2006 01:12 AMThe letter from her son should be framed and hung above the desk of the Seattle Superintendent of Public Schools. He'd probably think it was a fine example of post-graduate literary talent.
Posted by: Saltherring on January 11, 2006 05:17 AMWhile I'm sure many of us appreciate your helpful comments in making SP a better place, I would suggest that your work over at HA is not yet done. So, until you get your own room cleaned, don't come out and start yipping about someone elses.
Posted by: Danny on January 11, 2006 05:55 AMI just blew coffee all over my keyboard, screen and desk. That letter is hysterical! Let's just hope she brings the same quality education to Seattle School has her son has.
Thanks for the morning pick me up.

Posted by: jimg on January 11, 2006 08:31 AMYour switch to shaw, who is a US Rep from S. Florida, is despicable and outrageous. How long do you think I would survive without a lawsuit if I picked Jimmy McD or Paul Berendt? Get real, will you?
Posted by: swatter on January 11, 2006 08:45 AMIf Goldy's running for the position, too, maybe it'll take his mind off Tim Eyman for a while.

Her commitment to it at home maybe shows how effective she will be with our money and our children. Her own 22 year old child writes worse than my third grader. That does not give me any confidence in her leadership.

Which leads me to wonder, has anyone asked the unloved/unliked queen how that whole drought thing is going for her?
Or has the deluge led to an emergency need for our tsunami warning system.
If anyone can find the queen, please ask her. Maybe she'll pop out and see her shadow on Feb 2.

Posted by: Amused by liberal punks on January 11, 2006 02:03 PMYou wingnuts really have your fingers on the pulse of the Seattle electorate...
Posted by: Mr. X on January 11, 2006 04:06 PMMr. X: Sounds like your idea of "helping" people is the same as Ms. Wingding Woldt. Think of a program that should be funded by taxpayers' dollars but doesn't require personal responsibility of the target group or money directly out of your own pocket. You probably see nothing wrong with the free condos for drunks. Is that steady haze you breathe in for medicinal purposes?
Posted by: Burdabee on January 11, 2006 09:20 PMBully for you - but being an EMT isn't exactly going to qualify you for sainthood. And for someone accusing me of making gross generalizations, your little crack about depoliticizing your job where I wouldn't is total bs. About what I would expect on this site, I suppose.
Posted by: Mr. X on January 12, 2006 08:38 AMAnd being a extreme left wing kook who advocated keeping the Taliban in power and praised the "charitable" work of bin Laden somehow qualifies Woldt for sainthood?
My brother (another "Rethug wingnut") does the same stuff Mike P does... trust me, I've had enough holiday dinners and family get togethers interupted so he can run off to save someone's life to know Mike P is a whole hell of a lot closer to sainthood than this leftwing kook will ever be (or you, for that matter). Get a clue.
Posted by: Mike H on January 12, 2006 10:20 AMThe good work your brother does isn't the same as the "compassion" that good little leftists like Mr. X believe in. That takes government (read: force) to take from one group of people that he believes already have too much to give to another group that is "less fortunate." See how much better it is when you're generous with other people's money? Now stop being so selfish!
Posted by: Libertarianobserver on January 12, 2006 11:55 AMDoes this mean I need to go back for some "good home-training"?
Posted by: Mike H on January 12, 2006 12:13 PMWow . . .
Who cares.
Since you are such a good person, you too can demonstrate the generosity of Alice Woldt. Simply deposit your paycheck and send your bank account’s payment authorization number to my e-mail address and I promise that I will do more good for people in need with your money than you will.
The truly comical thing about a pea brained jacka$$ like you is the emotionally insipid emptiness of the claims you make. You say that Alice Woldt has done ”more for people in need in any given 5 minutes of her life than . . . [our] entire Rethug reader base, and yet you ignore the fact that Woldt cares so little about her own son that under her ”care” he degenerated into the kind of proven illiterate thug you accuse us of being.
Maybe instead of busily working to take others money and redistribute it so that she can feeeel like a gooood person, Woldt should redistribute her own priorities. You might feeeel that she is a good person, but Woldt has proven that both as a mom, and a leader, she sucks.
As for you not injecting politics in to your acts of "heroism". I will stick by that statement given your response.
Posted by: Mike P on January 12, 2006 06:10 PMI guess we should just leave you to the tender mercies of big Pharma - I imagine you "free market" types are looking forward to those $500 monthly insurance premiums and prescription co-pays (even if it isn't quite as good a deal as crony "free market" no-bid contracts in Iraq subsidized by the blood and treasure of the US).
PS - Jesus thought greedy capitalists (or wannabees like most of the readers here) sucked. So much for Christian charity, I guess...
Posted by: Mr. X on January 12, 2006 09:11 PMCare to quote the scripture for that one? I wasn't aware that He ever said that.
Posted by: Mike H on January 13, 2006 08:57 AMSearch the web, there a plenty of programs giving away meds to those that can't afford them... many run by the pharmaceutical companies theselves.
Posted by: Mike H on January 13, 2006 09:02 AMExcuse me, clarity is important: the vacant seat in Havanna? Pyongyang? Seattle?
Never mind, all the same......
Apparently mixing Alpo and KoolAid does increase mental acuity....
Keep on talking, Mr X.......we all suspect you are a GOP plant as your drooling will drive all but the Alice Woldts of the world into the arms of the GOP.
Posted by: THS on January 13, 2006 09:22 AMMatthew 19:16-30
And someone came to Him and said, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?" 17 And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments." 18 Then he said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; 19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." 20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?" 21 Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." 22 But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property. 23 And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Mike P. - giving away meds? Please provide links, as I'm pretty sure you're full of shit (and, if you can point to one program, are they equipped to handle the tidal wave of Baby Boomers who are rapidly approaching old age?)
Posted by: Mr. X on January 13, 2006 09:59 AMThis X turd would like America to be a theocracy?
At any rate, conservative parents eat steak and eggs when they like (thank you very much) because they took care of themselves just like Jesus commanded that all of us learn to do. If Alice Woldt has her way she will take from my parents the fruits of their labor and give it to her moron degenerate son so that he can buy more drugs. Given Mr X’s comments and idiotic hysterical defense of indolence, I suspect that he will partake in due course.
X’s brain dead attempts to mischaracterize and bite the hand that feeds him—if successful—would be the decisive factor that would ever force anyone in America to eat poorly. The fact that he is so dense that he cannot recognize that capitalism is the fundamental resource without which his own survival is doubtful, remains a matter of enormous hilarity to all of us who know better.
As what X describes as a ”wannabee greedy capitalist,” I will not be stuck in retirement attempting to force others to feed me dog food because I am not a lazy self righteous liberal moron like you.
X, your appeals to pseudo-authority, Alpo-panic, and hell-fire are pitifully humorous.
Nevertheless, bon appetit.

Posted by: Amused by liberals on January 16, 2006 11:35 AMRight . . . you are a sociopath.
Did I spell that right?
"I didn't say I was a socialist - I said Jesus was."
Jesus was not a socialist. He was more likely a libertarian. For Jesus allowed his followers to make their own decisions, (re: Judas at the last supper.) Socailism does not want freedom of choice or expression outside of the predetermined accepted tenets of the government and /or majority of society. He knew that the government of Rome was not the final authority. Therefore, he advocated a way of living that was antithetical to that ways of Rome and Roman Society. But he insisted that his followers living in that society, obey the laws of the society they live in. "Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars, render unto the Lord what is the Lords".
