Alice Woldt is back!
Far-left moonbat Alice Woldt, who lost her primary bid to unseat Rep. Helen Sommers in 2004, has thrown her (tinfoil) hat in the ring for the vacant Seattle City Council seat.

I'd be surprised if Woldt wins the appointment to the Council. Her politics are a little extreme even for the Seattle Silly Council. On the other hand, although she'd be a disaster as a Councilwoman, she would at least provide a steady stream of entertainment for this blog. (My favorite blog entry about Alice Woldt, for those of you who weren't reading the Shark Blog in early 2004, is the threatening e-mail I received from Woldt's living-at-home adult son. The young man is not an example of "good home-training")

2. Oh, please, please, please, please, please, please, please......PLEASE!!! let Alice Doldt...Oops! I mean Woldt...get that open seat on the Skedaddle Slippery Conact.

Ever since Red Dwight Pelz left the King County Council for his own floppo run for our region's largest city's Politburo, we no longer have true Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist/Maoist/Daffy Duckist entertainment. That is unless you consider the Kirkland City Council, which is only a pale and pathetic wannabe of its kindred spirit cousins across Lake Wishingallrepublicanswereoutoftown.

Besides, Ol' Alice obviously needs some steady work with vision care benefits so she can get those librarian or prison issue or whatever specs she wears replaced with something stylish and correct (politically, of course)

3. That letter from her son is Priceless. Did he graduate from high school here in Washington?

Posted by: sgmmac on January 10, 2006 11:17 PM
4. All you have to do is look at the minutes from City Council meetings for the Moonbat homebase of Berkeley and you will see where Alice's head is. It would be more than highly entertaining. Perhaps we ought to all e-mail letters of endorsement for her. I truly believe putting a few of these KLOWNS in positions of local authority is like KLOWN-antidote for the future.
Alice for Mayor of KLOWNtown!

5. Here are Alice's key Elected Official Endorser's when she ran against Helen Sommers:
The Hon. State Representative Maralyn Chase
Port Commissioner Alec Fisken
The Hon. County Councilmember Larry Gossett
Gene Lux Former State Representative
Port Commissioner Lawrence Molloy
Dick Nelson Former State Representative
City Councilmember Tom Rasmussen
The Hon. State Representative Geoff Simpson
Seattle School Board Member Sally Soriano

How impressive! NOT!!!!!!!!!

10. Cyniclown,

Before you go tossing stones how about your little misadventure with the word reckoning earlier today? Here is a hint, you moron....SpellCheck.

Now, your dull and lifeless leader, Sharkansky, pulls out an email from her son, who needs remedial English lessons to be sure, but who nonetheless is not his mom, and attacks her using him. In addition to this we have Piper Scott attacking her glasses and fashion sense. How about I send my daughter, a buy for a large national clothing chain, over to Pipers place and lets how stylish he/she is?

Once again the Rightwingnuts take leave of the issues and go off insulting someone personally instead. Might as well scream terrorists and patriotism too while you are at it. It won't address the issues, but it doe's avoid having to give intelligent argument in support of your views.

11. News flash for Jeff B. GOLDY WAS TONGUE IN CHEEK with his letter concerning the City Council vacancy. It was funny, it was irreverant. You guys might want to check your closets for your sense of humors, you have obviously misplaced them.

12. Alice obviously didn't give this boy the King County "Good Home Training".

Posted by: GS on January 11, 2006 03:16 AM
13. I think Alice in Wonderland will fit right in the the other kooks on the "diverse" Silly Council. What's really hilarious is that Moonbats like her can't figure out why most of the country laughs at them.

The letter from her son should be framed and hung above the desk of the Seattle Superintendent of Public Schools. He'd probably think it was a fine example of post-graduate literary talent.

14. My previous post should read "..WITH the other kooks..". I guess I didn't get "good home training", either.

22. I agree with sgmmac: the letter from the son is priceless. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest the kid ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Why does KC seem to have an overabundance of these idiots?

If Goldy's running for the position, too, maybe it'll take his mind off Tim Eyman for a while.

Posted by: Libertarian on January 11, 2006 09:06 AM
23. So let me get this straight... Stefan makes an honest criticism of Alice Woldt, who's running on things like pacifisim and education for children and making them all that they can be, blah blah blah. In a complete contradiction of what she stands for, her live at home grown son writes a poorly written letter with lousy spelling threatening Stefan with violence for making said criticisms. Stefan holds this up not as an attack on her positions, but to point out how amusing having her in office would be.

And because of this, Stefan is a low life jerk? Geeze, pull the stick out of your rear ends. It's meant as joke. And people claim conservatives have no sense of humor.

Posted by: Mike H on January 11, 2006 09:23 AM
24. Lefty - the reason her son's letter is at least somewhat relevant is because what she claims to support. When you make an issue of education and its importance with statements like

"Alice will stand up "for children who need quality care and a good education. As a parent and former elementary school teacher, I know how important it is to prepare our children for the future." "

Her commitment to it at home maybe shows how effective she will be with our money and our children. Her own 22 year old child writes worse than my third grader. That does not give me any confidence in her leadership.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on
you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

"We need an energy bill that encourages consumption."

"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a - you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities."

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

"Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed."

26. I read her campaign platform on her website. It was an interesting exercise in activist culture and do-goodism at the expense of others.
Everytime I read, "Alice Woldt will stand up for..." I wanted to reply, "Sit down, Alice Woldt!"
She means well, I am sure, but I don't think that the ends she clamors for will justify her means.
She stands for a lot of things, but I can't figure out just how she's going to find the money to do all those--oh, wait, of course I can figure it out!
Tax the "rich" (i.e. all those who are not "poor"), give to "the poor"--repeat.

So kindly take your brain dead comments else where. I never let my politics get in the way of treating people like you surely would. Then again, you probably have never saved a life.

32. Well spoke, Mike P. :)

Mr. X: Sounds like your idea of "helping" people is the same as Ms. Wingding Woldt. Think of a program that should be funded by taxpayers' dollars but doesn't require personal responsibility of the target group or money directly out of your own pocket. You probably see nothing wrong with the free condos for drunks. Is that steady haze you breathe in for medicinal purposes?

37. From Alice's web site: "It's official: When elected Alice Woldt will be a leader among legislators. Alice received the highest rating possible, an "Outstanding," from the Municipal League of Seattle." I say she's as good as elected with the Muni League backing. Scary to think but I believe that Seattle is in the midst of swinging left even further than it is now and Alice fits right in. What she advocates (at her web site http://www.alicewoldt.org/about.html this is a back door as going in the front way the site is "under construction" and has no links) makes my eyes bulge. Once all of her Socialist drivel hits the MSM, indoctrinated Seattlites will cast their ballot for her . . . tinfoil hat and all.

Posted by: Steve-O on January 12, 2006 11:47 AM
38. Hey, Mike H:

The good work your brother does isn't the same as the "compassion" that good little leftists like Mr. X believe in. That takes government (read: force) to take from one group of people that he believes already have too much to give to another group that is "less fortunate." See how much better it is when you're generous with other people's money? Now stop being so selfish!

Posted by: Libertarianobserver on January 12, 2006 11:55 AM
39. Hey Mr X: Alice Dolt has done more using OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY maybe but not her own. But that is how you liberals work. Steal other people's money at gun point and then give it to (prefered) others to make YOU feel good. I have yet to see Kerry, Moore or Strisand give away their millions so they can live on a yearly income of 150K (let alone 50K or 60K like normal people). Let's see Alice use her own money. THEN I'd say she's doing something.

42. Hey Mr X,

Since you are such a good person, you too can demonstrate the generosity of Alice Woldt. Simply deposit your paycheck and send your bank account’s payment authorization number to my e-mail address and I promise that I will do more good for people in need with your money than you will.

The truly comical thing about a pea brained jacka$$ like you is the emotionally insipid emptiness of the claims you make. You say that Alice Woldt has done ”more for people in need in any given 5 minutes of her life than . . . [our] entire Rethug reader base, and yet you ignore the fact that Woldt cares so little about her own son that under her ”care” he degenerated into the kind of proven illiterate thug you accuse us of being.

Maybe instead of busily working to take others money and redistribute it so that she can feeeel like a gooood person, Woldt should redistribute her own priorities. You might feeeel that she is a good person, but Woldt has proven that both as a mom, and a leader, she sucks.

Posted by: Amused by liberals on January 12, 2006 03:43 PM
43. Mr. X's prescribed method of generosity brings to mind a exchange I had with a friend's high school age daughter. She wants to be a social worker so she can "help people". I advised that she could do far more for far more people if got good grades in school, got an MBA, started a tech company and got rich. Once rich, she could help more people by giving them tons of her own money. Like Bill Gates. I don't know if I changed her mind but she did like that idea better. ‘Nother point: This "social worker" mentality is being generated by our school system. It isn't the first high school age person I've heard it from. Schools are the incubation labs of the socialist left and need to be replaced by market-based vouchers.

Posted by: Steve-O on January 12, 2006 04:34 PM

I never said I was applying for sainthood. You on the other hand wrote, "Alice Woldt has done more for people in need in any given 5 minutes of her life than your entire Rethug reader base have done in their misbegotten lives." You are wrong, since I know that I am not the only EMT/RN/DR, who visits or posts on this site

As for you not injecting politics in to your acts of "heroism". I will stick by that statement given your response.

I guess we should just leave you to the tender mercies of big Pharma - I imagine you "free market" types are looking forward to those $500 monthly insurance premiums and prescription co-pays (even if it isn't quite as good a deal as crony "free market" no-bid contracts in Iraq subsidized by the blood and treasure of the US).

49. Mike H.

Matthew 19:16-30

And someone came to Him and said, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?" 17 And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments." 18 Then he said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; 19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." 20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?" 21 Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." 22 But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property. 23 And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

But can you operate it?) Any person who hasn't been bred in the government schools can easily see that SS can't be sustained. Other need a little convincing. This is not a huge secret. It's not opinion, pal, it's numbers. But that subject is way to vast for this place. Instead of listening to murderous drunks like Ted Kennedy, you need to actually read some books on economics and then you may see what has happened (and happening) to drugs, medical care and SS. Not to scare you but it's spelled G, O, V, E, R, N, M, E, N, T.

51. So here comes Mr X to argue that Jesus "thought greedy capitalists (or wannabees like most of the readers here) sucked." Wow.
Mr X says that Jesus will send me to hell if I don’t abide a government system where Alice Woldt seizes the fruits of my labor and gives it to pointy headed lazy-a$$ed self rightoyus morons like him.

This X turd would like America to be a theocracy?

At any rate, conservative parents eat steak and eggs when they like (thank you very much) because they took care of themselves just like Jesus commanded that all of us learn to do. If Alice Woldt has her way she will take from my parents the fruits of their labor and give it to her moron degenerate son so that he can buy more drugs. Given Mr X’s comments and idiotic hysterical defense of indolence, I suspect that he will partake in due course.

X’s brain dead attempts to mischaracterize and bite the hand that feeds him—if successful—would be the decisive factor that would ever force anyone in America to eat poorly. The fact that he is so dense that he cannot recognize that capitalism is the fundamental resource without which his own survival is doubtful, remains a matter of enormous hilarity to all of us who know better.

As what X describes as a ”wannabee greedy capitalist,” I will not be stuck in retirement attempting to force others to feed me dog food because I am not a lazy self righteous liberal moron like you.

X, your appeals to pseudo-authority, Alpo-panic, and hell-fire are pitifully humorous.

Nevertheless, bon appetit.

Time, numbers and facts have shown that your leftist views simply don’t/can’t work. It’s just that simple. Time, numbers and facts have also shown that Alice's won’t/can’t work. The only problem is, for whatever reason, that you can’t see past or aren’t willing to see past Socialist drivel. I can say one thing that you probably can’t: I have, in my lifetime, supported both sides of the issues we discuss here and Socialist/liberal/etc. positions are untenable in any society for any length of time. Simple math and the knowledge of human nature will tell you that. To say nothing of the crumbling, murderous Socialist institutions world-wide. To tell you the truth, I support all of Alice’s positions. I think that we need to make Seattle crumble (the faster the better) under the weight of Socialist, moonbat crap-o-la. Only then will naive lock-steppers like yourself go away.

Did I spell that right?

70. Mr X,
while you are always trying to correct peoples spelling, maybe I can help you with your statements.

"I didn't say I was a socialist - I said Jesus was."

Jesus was not a socialist. He was more likely a libertarian. For Jesus allowed his followers to make their own decisions, (re: Judas at the last supper.) Socailism does not want freedom of choice or expression outside of the predetermined accepted tenets of the government and /or majority of society. He knew that the government of Rome was not the final authority. Therefore, he advocated a way of living that was antithetical to that ways of Rome and Roman Society. But he insisted that his followers living in that society, obey the laws of the society they live in. "Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars, render unto the Lord what is the Lords".

71. Right - so all of that stuff about giving away your worldly goods to the poor was some bizarre proto Ayn Rand thing that Biblical scholars all missed?

Nice try, thanks for playing!

72. Mr X,
No, I did not miss that part. You just confuse the actions asked of by those who would be a Postulate or Apsotle for Jesus. From what is asked of by those who would life by his teachings.

These are two very different levels of faith and thus there is a different level of commitment asked of that person.

Nice try... you lose.
