Charity Auction: Breakfast with the Shark

My wife and I are hosting a table at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle fundraiser breakfast this Friday morning, December 9th at the Washington State Convention Center. Keynote speaker: talk show host Tavis Smiley.

We're especially excited to host a table this year, as I'm being recognized with an award for my service as a volunteer tutor in the Urban League After-School Program.

Due to a cancellation, we have a couple of open seats at our table. I'll offer them to the bidder(s) pledging the largest donation to the Urban League. Bid for one seat or both. E-mail me your best offer to: theshark .AT. usefulwork .DOT. com. Winner(s) will be announced tomorrow, Thursday, at 5pm. Submit your bid to have breakfast with Mrs. Shark, some of the other Sound Politics contributors and myself, with proceeds going to a worthy cause!

UPDATE: The winner is Monorail Board Member-elect Jim Nobles!

3. Jeez, Shark. that's an awful liberal outfit you're supporting. Tavis Smiley is an extremist who thinks we owe black people reparations for slavery. Why don't you support the Concerned Women For America or the Family Council or somebody who doesn't vote Democrat in droves?

I doubt many of the children whom stefan tutor's vote democrat in "droves".

Congrats Stefan on your award. Well deserved I am sure.

I have enough room in my head and my heart to support the good work that someone does even if I don't agree with 100% of their opinions.

7. It's such a shame conservatives are so mean, greedy and selfish. Good job, Mr. Sharkansky.

10. If it was the horse's ass receiving an award from a hateful "civil rights" group's dinner, you be all over him as you should be. I guess it's ok for Republicans to support hate-mongering racial causes if they are from Seattle. No wonder Seattle is such an Island of goofies--even the "conservatives" seem to be sniffing glue. Sing koombaya for me, Shark. this is a disappointment. These people want to defeat us.
