I was out poll watching today, when who did I run into but Bill Huennekens. He was at the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Ballard, demonstrating the new Diebold touch screen voting machine that the county will be using next year for elections. He looked like he was pretty well settled in there -- perhaps he was spending the whole day.
Meanwhile, poll workers at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, also in Ballard, reported Dean Logan had come by earlier to pay a visit. They mentioned he is going to all the polling sites today, which would make him a very busy man. I count about 45 polling places in the 36th district, so there must be several hundred county-wide. That's about 20 minutes per polling place, including travel time. Oh well, anything to keep him out of the counting room.
In the meantime just imagine how much fun the King County voters will have checking the records to see how they REALLY voted in today's election!!
