Where's Waldo?

Blogger Patrick Bell wants to know, where's Waldo, err, Gregoire? As he put it in this post at Respectfully Republican:

Much like where's Waldo, I want to know what our state's most powerful and outspoken Democrat is up to these days. As Attorney General, Gregoire was quite regularly in the news promoting this settlement or that lawsuit. Now, she's nowhere to be seen! I'll tell you what I think. Gregoire's approval rating as Governor is one of the lowest of all Governors' in the nation, and really only paralleled on the federal level (sorry Dubya). She's staying out of the limelight until this year's election is over, because she's perceptive enough to know a great number of voter's still despise her.

And now in today's SeaTimes comes the headline "Man didn't threaten to kill Gregoire" - regarding the acquittal yesterday of Michael James Goodall on charges of making a death threat against Christine Gregoire. Acquittal, as in not guilty. Innocent, as in he didn't do it. The Times story states:

Goodall, who has no criminal history, claimed that he'd meant he was going to "kill" Gregoire, who was state attorney general before she was governor, with the truth. He said he had no intention of physically harming her.

The truth is a potent weapon, no doubt about it. Keep an eye on Sharkansky v. King County to watch more skillful use of that weapon.

3. Goldy keeps asking, "Where's Rossi?" on the 912 issue. I was having some fun with Goldy the other day when he was asking that question yet again and I put this comment in his blog:

"Forget Rossi! Where's Waldo?"

I'm hoping this "Where's Gregoire" campaign on SP doesn't become as tedious as Goldy and his blog on the "Where's Rossi" diatribe.

4. Well, she figures like in the governors race, she'll let Sims be her scapegoat. Besides, she's too busy figuring out how to raise taxes and steal the re-election to have time for appearances.

Posted by: John Galt on November 2, 2005 10:32 AM
5. She'll come around again for the post Sim's election fraud healing tour. Right now she's too busy down at HQ filling in provisionals and hiding them for Logan to find.

Behrent said they've got to complete the hide the ballot easter egg hunt before her next trip to China. So you can understand, she's quite unavailable for speaking engagements.

6. Gregoire is practicing the old duck and cover drill! Actually, it's kind of nice not having to see or hear her lately. Would that we could say the same about Sims, Eagan, Maleng, Reed, McKenna, et al!

7. Gregoire is just like all the LEFTIST PINHEADED CLOWNS. They want ot be in charge, claim to be strong leaders, but then completely disappear rather than take a stand on a controversial issue.
Gregoire is watching her designated State Jester David CLOWNstein lead the SHI*SQUADRON of lies and last minute smut against David Irons and against I-912. Gregoire is hiding out, hoping the SHI*SQUAD tactics are successful....the Gregoire will run out of her hiding place and claim VICTORY!!!
Gregoire is quite shallow and so, so transparent.
Is she a LEADER??? Hell NO!!
Is she desperate to claim credit for everything good that happens? YUP!!
She is the CLOWN who surfaces after all the other CLOWNS like David CLOWNstein do the dirty work for her. Same with Sims.

8. Felix Fermin the Clown on HA says:
“Why are you so eager to dismiss Mrs. Irons’ story? When almost her entire family backs her up?”

Almost her entire family??????????????
Where have you been CLOWN!
A Battle-Ax mother and an even loonier sister is far from the entire family. The fact is way more other family members (sister, aunts & uncles) back David and confirm the old BATTLE-AX hates her son because of his political views.
What kind of mother would do this publicly???? A MAMA CLOWN!

Folks would rather deal with Sims horrible leadership on Transportation, Election Dept., SWA and the CAO. These are issues that affect everyone. Now add to that, SIMS attempt to ram a smoke-and-mirrors budget!!!!

David CLOWNstein’s SHI*SQUAD Tactics have lead to refocus the election debate away from Sims record and onto an 11-year-old allegation where the poor abused Battle-Ax NEVER filed formal charges.

David Irons has taken the high road on this. I respect him for it.
Sims on the other hand, tries to pretend he and his staff knew nothing about it.
But then POOF, CLOWNstein and SindelCLOWN admit discussing and orchestrating it.

Many voters are sick of Sims and his SHITSQUAD’s. They are offensive.
If SIMS loses====LoganCLOWN is FIRED!!!!!!!!
If IRONS wins====LoganCLOWN is FIRED!!!!!!!!!
Good enough for me.

9. Where's Gregoire? That's easy. She's out busy giving the Spokane tribe the legal right to set up off-reservation gambling, even though voters gave a big NO to that one, last year.

She knows that's not going make her any more popular than when she was blurting out embarrassing things like "I lost that one?? THEN IT'S A TIE!!!!"

Posted by: Michele on November 2, 2005 11:57 AM
10. Cyn, couldn't have said it any better, good enough for me and the other two voters in my family! Also more than happy to send Christine a message, that if she wants more of our money, ASK US! so three votes for I912.

If you value your property, you will send both Sims and Gregoire a message on the CAO. They both want it statewide! Sim's loss means the message gets sent to all the land thiefs in Olympia.

Good enough for me!

11. All the CLOWNS want to know what Dino Rossi thinks now on I-912 and other issues. Know what I say?

They didn't want Dino to be Governor. But now they want him to ACT like he's Governor. Why? Because the person that they did want to be Governor (Comrade Gregoirovich) isn't acting like she's Governor.

The CLOWNS wanted Dino to be a private citizen, and now they're amazed that he is being a private citizen. They wanted Gregoirovich to be Governor - so don't be surprised when we evaluate her as a Governor.

12. Mr. Cynical,

I love the "duck and cover" line to describe Christine the queen. It can also be used to describe our two high profile US Senators. Dimwit Patty "ducks and covers" for five years until the Seattle media digs her up, gives her a bath, sets a script in front of her and gets her re-elected.

Expect the same script for our "women's right to choose" candidate, "CantVOTEwell". The media is trying to locate her right now so they can start the bath water. Hopefully Hillary Klintin is through paying off CantVOTEwell's 2000 campaign debts so Michael Moore, George Soros and Emily's List (a leading abortion mill PAC that was the largest single contributor to Dimwit Patty's '04 campaign) won't have to mortgage the ranch. Also of note is that the majority of Dimwit's '04 campaign bucks came from out of state. Zip codes in NY, CA and DC topped the list. The majority of Washington state votors are idiots.

13. Queen Christine and her minions certainly over-reacted to that supposed threat. It should have been apparent to her that this case wasn't going to fly, but then again she isn't a particularly good attorney either. They probably just ran it through the hoops, hoping to gain some sympathy for her.

One of the lowest governors ratings in the nation? Wow what a distinction, any bank would be proud...oops that was the other dumb dude.

Posted by: dl on November 2, 2005 12:43 PM
14. So what exactly IS her rating these days? I think I saw a number of 45 for two months ago. But that was then.

15. Defining TRUTH is simple. If one did indeed come by the pumpkin legitimately, one would enjoy its succulence openly-- in broad daylight.

16. I know where she is. She's out looking for the $22million+ that she cost us when she forgot to file the BoysRanch appeal when she was AG, and then blamed a subordinate for it (which allowed the state to get sued by that subordinate).

Posted by: YourGovernorCostsMillion$ on November 2, 2005 01:16 PM
17. Wondering where Queen Christine is? In "The Rape of Lucrece" Shakespeare summed it up:

Revealing day through every cranny spies,
And seems to point her out where she sits weeping;
To whom she sobbing speaks: 'O eye of eyes,
Why pry'st thou through my window? leave thy peeping;
Mock with thy tickling beams eyes that are sleeping;
Brand not my forehead with thy piercing light,
For day hath nought to do what's done by night.'

But Shakespeare also notes that in the end, the truth will be exposed:

'Time's glory is to calm contending kings,
To unmask falsehood and bring truth to light,
To stamp the seal of time in aged things,
To wake the morn and sentinel the night,
To wrong the wronger till he render right,
To ruinate proud buildings with thy hours
And smear with dust their glitt'ring golden towers;

18. P Scott.

I do not despise Gregoire, just did not like her shrillness after governors race. Sadly, the only way I can express this is to vote in favor of 912. My intellect tells me this is an emotional reaction for which the next generation may be forced to pay triple what transporation improvements will cost now. I am embarrased to say that Gregoire is principally responsible for the vote I made (absentee). Had she been out recently agruing that 912 should be defeated for certain reasons maybe I would have voted differently. Alas, that she has not lead on ending Monorail, forcefully addressing 520 and viaduct, I am inclinded to think she will be a lackluster leader like Locke. which is sad given her RESULTS on smoking lawsuit. I do not despise the Governor.

19. Last I heard her numbers were 36% approval, a majority of those that voted for her I assume, the other 14% came from fatal pends, and voters du jour as Stephan is picking up. No newspaper will tough this continued digging now, but when Sims and Logan use these tactics to assure their victories next week, we will be watching.

PS: A few more of us are working the polls to assure some sanity in those polling places!

20. So how's that emergency drought Queen Christine worried about last Spring? Things pretty parched yet?

Posted by: Danny on November 2, 2005 01:56 PM
21. Well, until she gives birth to three babies and has bats in the belfry, I wouldn't expect to hear from her, just like Gary Locke.

23. ...and Michelle Malkin is reporting on her blog today about Michael Steele, the african-american Republican who is running for U.S. Senate in maryland. Democrats are calling him horrifying ugly names and literally pelting him with Oreo cookies at appearances! I felt like I was reading about Jackie Robinson! The rank racism of the left is beyond all comprehension and I could not stand by and watch that ugliness happen to a good man. So I got even with all that evil and made a donation to his campaign! Check it out Michelle's report and michaelsteeleformaryland and spread the word. My hope is that the entire country will get behind this guy, help him blow past all that leftwing toxic waste and help him ride all the way to the U.S. Senate.

25. I agree, the less we see her the better I feel! She is probably locked up thinking about the dream job for Ron Sims if he gets beat!

Lets see........How could she screw the voters again......Ron could be hired to manage the rolling out of the CAO land theft state wide (if you have land in this state you are about to lose 65% of it)

Posted by: gs on November 2, 2005 03:07 PM
26. It's irrelevant anyway. She never was elected Governor.

29. Amen!! For our sakes I hope we can pass 912 to stop her in her tracks & rid our selves of cronie legislators in 2006!

30. I heartily concur. The most striking thing about today's verdict is that it provides evidence Gregoire lied. She said she was keeping her schedule private to avoid death threats.

Of course now we know that she was really just trying to avoid being DEMONSTRATED against at every event/venue/rally she tried to put on.

Gregoire is a media-whore, and we can use her absence from the "public" limelight as an indicator of her "temperature". She must be depressed, but on the positive side, I did see a commerical she paid for to "welcome home the troops".

Does anyone think it's true that Gregoire used to be a Republican (recruited to the AGs office by then AG Slade Gorton?) but turned-coat on us for expediency?

Thanks for all of the comments!

31. Per Orbusmax - "By CURT WOODWARD
The Associated Press

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Gov. Christine Gregoire on Wednesday called for broader state powers to limit development in national forests, joining other Western states in a challenge of the Bush administration's forest protections.

In a petition to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns, Gregoire asked that states be allowed to adopt former President Clinton's so-called roadless rule, which banned development on 58 million acres of national forests."

"After a federal court declared the rule illegal, the Bush administration created a new one giving governors the option of proposing whether roadless areas should be developed. The final decisions were left to federal officials."

33. Where's the ORANGE? Why aren't there daily protests at the mansion because of this illegitimate governor? Where is the civil disobedience? The judge in Wenatchee said that it's all up to us, so what's everyone waiting for?

Queen Krissy needs to go. How about a Recall petition? I hope someone does something soon. I don’t know how much longer I can endure the relentless reporting of the daily fraud and corruption that spews out of King County Records and Elections.

These sure are sad, sad days in Washington State history. I can’t wait until it’s all a real bad movie.

After she’s out of office, and in jail because of this disgusting conspiracy, we all need to get together and repeal the State Growth Management Act. Then we may finally be rid of this ridiculous intrusion of private property rights. They take our property and raise our taxes with aboslute disregard as to how that sucks the life out of a person. When will it end?

34. Waldo? On a junket to China promoting apples. On our dime.

Problem is, Waldo is unaware that China is smiling and accepting the tasty WA apple promo samples while busily planting more apple acreage than all of WA. Let's see how THIS simple lesson of supply and demand pans out in a few years when Waldo is safely insulated from the WA apple industry fallout!
