A pre-election special! An extra helping of fraudulently counted ballots!
This voter did not sign her registration form last September and was not eligible to vote last November.
Her provisional ballot envelope was correctly marked "fatal pend / sig", "not sign reg. form" and the "not registered" box was checked off. The green markings indicating that the ballot should not have been counted were overridden by "OK to count, JM". The ballot was unlawfully counted and the voter's registration was unlawfully activated.
The voter's record shows that she eventually corrected her missing signature -- last month -- so she is now legally registered and eligible to vote this time.
The JM who authorized this ballot is the same JM who gave the go ahead to count the ineligible ballot I posted the other day.
A co-worker identified JM's handwriting as that of Julie Moore, then and now an Assistant Superintendent of Elections. Ms. Moore did not reply to my e-mail offering her an opportunity to comment.

Posted by: ronin on November 1, 2005 02:46 PMIt is really frustrating to see the Wisconsin (I think it's Wisonsin) cases being followed up on an this is not.
His excuse during the election challenge was that he wanted the case to work it's way through the courts, what is it now?

How can this be? I thought he was demoted!
I want this woman questioned, fired and jailed!
Now let's see who the other initials belong to!
Posted by: Deborah on November 1, 2005 03:27 PMI guess it didn't really matter how many reasons there were to exclude her ballot, since they had already included it in the vote tabulation. They simply needed to get as many names on that list of voters as possible, so they could claim that simple, innocent human error caused there to be more ballots in the vote tabulation than voters credited with voting. Their instructions apparently were to remove every code, no matter what, and get those names onto that list.
It appears that in October 2005 this voter submitted another registration application, and the new one (along with a new registration number) was substituted for the old one.
I wonder: What was the "VNC" that was needed when they cancelled her incomplete (thus invalid) registration and put her onto the rolls under a new number? Is there a standard verification notice for that situation?
Posted by: Micajah on November 1, 2005 06:22 PMWhy isn't the Republican party throwing its full weight behind Mr. Sharkansky? They have the money and manpower to help him. Why aren't they jumping in?
