Join the Provisional I.R.A.

No, not that Provisional IRA -- the Provisional Ballot Envelope Independent Research Audit!

King County has finally granted me access to all of the provisional ballot envelopes that were processed in the November 2004 election. Neither of the "blue-ribbon" groups that were officially sanctioned to examine the elections office bothered to look at a single provisional or absentee ballot envelope, neither Ron Sims' hand-picked "independent" task force nor the Council's (non-)comprehensive audit. That's why citizen volunteers have to look at this envelopes, so somebody outside the elections office can help figure out what worked and didn't work in the ballot processing and offer constructive suggestions for improvements in future elections.

I have space in the Archives research room for two additional volunteers to help me review provisional envelopes each day on Monday, Thursday and Friday of this week. It's painstaking, detailed-oriented work, but it's also rewarding and important. Requirements --
1) You must commit to at least one full day working 9a - 4p at the King County Archives in central Seattle.
2) It's helpful, but not required, to provide your own lap top computer with Microsoft Access.

Drop me a line for more info: theshark .AT. usefulwork .DOT. com

Thanks in advance! Thanks also to County Councilmembers Lambert and Dunn, whose appeals to Dean Logan, I believe, are partly responsible for the release of the ballot envelopes.

2. Good work Stefan---
I kind of figured these "hired guns" who claim they found no evidence of fraud would be exposed for the fact that they didn't find any evidence BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LOOK FOR ANY!!!!!!!!!!!
I think if we ever get access to these "frauditers" workpapers and preliminary reports and BILLING STATEMENTS (DETAILED)....that it will be even more revealing that they only did a surfacey, bullsh** glossover....a pretend audit that had NO intent of finding fraud.
How pathetic.
This was Auditing 101 baby.
How stupid does Sims think we are???

3. Cynical,

Frauditors. I like that one. ;-) Cheers.

Stefan,

I'm a bit busy with my real work this coming week, but if you have trouble finding a volunteer, I'm available. I will do what is needed to rearrange the schedule.

4. I very much appreciate all this work you are doing Stephan, but I an curious as to your statement that this is rewarding and important. Has any of the people that you have found to have commited a felony (voting multiple times) been arrested? Charged? Anything?
I haven't heard a single word from the so called "MSM" on any of the fraud you have uncovered.
So, just what will all of this do? Besides reinforce what we all knew, that fraud was indeed present, and will continue to. The court case is over, and Washington State has determined that they don't care about fraudulent elections.
Other than preaching to the choir, what good is all of this really doing?

Thanks!
Greg

5. GregMa--
Actually Stefan's work has been quite productive.
Most or all County's have worked hard to clean up their Voter Registration Lists and procedures to make sure they can reconcile votes and voters.
In addition, all Election Staff have or are taking classes in signature ID. I am familiar with one County that approx. 2% of the mail-in ballots were originally rejected due to No Sig. or Questionable Sigs. Curiously nearly 60 "voters" did not come in to clear up the No Sig or Questionable.
We will never be able to precisely measure Stefan's impact. It is much, much more than what he actually finds.....his access has been limited.
However, these Election people, knowing they are under the microscope, are cleaning up past sins.
KingCo seems to be "slow learners".
Prosecuting really isn't the issue.
Shining a 5000-watt light has already lead to major improvements.
Way to go Stefan---
As a direct observor of Election procedures, Stefan's work has lead to significant change.
Of course, the media & KingCo will attempt to marginalize and minimize Stefan's impact.
That's ok....improvements HAVE been made.
KingCo still has a looooooong way to go.
