I heard a news report on KVI a moment ago. Ron Sims was giving a news conference and mentioned:

New Orleans and the Gulf Course, er, Coast

1. The comment must have been about the 'gulf' of disbelief between Ron Sims and the rest of the world!

2. New Orleans and King County have something very much in common -- both are controlled by corrupt Democrat political machines, although New Orleans could teach Ron new tricks turning around.

I'm gonna bet that the destruction in New Orleans has something to do with maintenance funds being siphoned off by the payola machine down there....

3. Stefan, was this during his comments regarding the "
Impending Pandemic" about to befall us?

I thought I heard the slip o the tongue myself, but figured that ol fooler sims was just trying to make sure we were paying 'tension ;'}

4. So now we know that in addition to being a morally-bankrupt, fiscally-inept, thoroughly corrupt, cowardly and treasonous piece of garbage, Ron Sims is also quite stupid. All that in one nice neat package. Gosh, aren't we lucky?

5. Wow, what a vision. Sims on a golf course in New Orleans...maybe like three days ago.

6. Gosh, it almost sounds like you're blaming Ron Sims for Hurricane Katrina. You guys are amazing!

7. Yeah Unkl Witz just about as amazing as people blaming President Bush for Sept. 11th....or Germany blaming Hurricane Katrina on the governor of Mississippi. Get a life Unkl Witz.

8. Glad you agree Miriam.

9. Can you imagine the outcry if a Republican had made that statement? Just look at the scrutiny Dan Quayle had to live under.

10. Unkl;

Have never agreed with you and your ridiculous posts; aren't now.

11. Unkl Witz, what color is the sky in your world? You certainly aren't living in the real one.

Posted by: ERNurse on September 1, 2005 10:12 AM
12. Unkl, don't you have the talking points down yet? It is Bush's fault.

13. "This is an administration whose arrogance is only matched by its incompetence and stupidity, and while Bush cannot be blamed for Hurricane Katrina itself, the lack of preparation for this inevitable disaster, and the slow response in its wake, is absolutely inexcusable."
David Goldstein - horsesass.com

Thanks Goldy, you took the words right out of my mouth.

14. ERNurse - The "color" of swizzlestick's sky is quite brown - the natural shade for where he keeps his head....

15. Unkl Witz,
So now Bush is responsible for the actions (or inactions) of a state, parish, and city government run by Democrats?

Wow. He wields more power than I thought.

You are really pathetic.

16. "Unkl Witz,

I know, amazing that the city of New Orleans isn't responding faster to having their city destroyed...damn democrats...
And the state of LA which has so much control over Federal money, we obviously don't even need a president, LA should be taking care of themselves.

NEWS UPDATE: President Bush, after reading ERNurse's comments realized the city of New Orleans should be handling this disaster and will instead fly straight to Crawford

17. I hope your "playing doctor" skills are better than your rational skills because what you said makes zero sense (well, to normal people anyway)....

(I will give you half credit for the "...damn democrats..." part though ;'}

18. Interesting... when I lived in South Florida it was well known and *expected* that *everyone* would be responsible to prepare for a hurricane... there weren't any state or national "nannies." Of course we helped those in need and had shelters... but NO ONE unless disabled or too young/old would have considered going to a shelter without a duffle bag containing food and water enough for a few days... or having such a stash of supplies ready if hunkered down in their homes. I had a food and supply stash in a closet... replenished every year after hurricane season... and bottled water stashed in every room in the house. I am not without sympathy and compassion for those in need.. in fact I'm trying to find a way to mail some stuff to someone I know in the area. But it is ridiculous to blame GWB or anyone else for the fiasco when they didn't bother to stash the Superdome full of supplies... or take the buses to high ground... or help the poor and disabled evacuate, etc.
