2. Stefan,

You're a man after my own heart. Isn't it a blast to continue to poke Ron with a sharp stick? Keep at it.

3. Was that the SEATTLE Times and PI????

It is most unusual to find yourself nodding in agreement with columns in the msm.

It must be even more strange for Sims to read dissent from the msm that would normally give him a pass. Deep down...at some level...he must have a sinking realization that he's really stepped in it. And I don't mean something covered by Seattle canine laws...

5. I think you are correct about Sim's thing about the fish...
Check out how he listed his priorities for clean air and water in his application for the Democratic Endorsement: (hint..fish come BEFORE *people and other species*..)

4. What is the single most pressing issue facing your jurisdiction, and what actions would you take if elected?

If we do not plan for future growth and climate change, as well as make serious gains in cleaning our air and water, future generations will be denied the quality of life that is so important to us. We are in a critical time, with global warming upon us, an additional 300,000 people expected in the region in the next 45 years and critical species in our ecosystem on the verge of extinction. Now is the time to plan for growth in a way that provides clean air and water for fish, people and other species.

Stefan - I think you should add this site to your list!

9. Could we put this on a few billboards? Particularly, on one or two in plain sight of this Richard Cranium's office window?

That would be soooooo sweet.

10. Oh, and Erik...

Still can't come up with any meaningful addition to the dialogue, eh?

So sad. Don't forget to switch hands.

11. I'm a little disappointed here. Last time we had an anti-Sims hatefest on Sound Politics, one person suggested lynching him, two others suggested a "non-racist" tar and feathering, and the rest of the fake Christians and "compassionate conservatives" simply stood by and defended those sick comments.

In fact, as I recall, our favorite ERNurse and Christian rock band extraordinaire responded to my criticism by threatening me with a baseball bat.

This thread just seems so tame in comparison.

Too bad the R's couldn't come up with a competent, well-funded opponent (who doesn't support the gas tax increase) to take on Sims this year. If that were the case, they wouldn't have to funnel all this hate of theirs into a lost cause!

Unter Alles just doesn't cut it, guys.

13. ABRWH - the playing the victim ill becomes even you. It mostly makes you look boorish and foolish.

Next....

14. How am I playing the victim, and when are you kids going post some more really racist stuff?

This namby-pamby racism is boring.

What, do only northerners visit Sound Politics on the weekends?

Posted by: AmazedByRightWingHate on August 20, 2005 10:23 AM
15. No ABRWH - it would appear that extraterrestrials visit SP on occaision as well ;'}

Posted by: alphabet soup on August 20, 2005 10:31 AM
16. Right wing hater, this isn't a race issue and you know it. Stick to the issue at hand.

Posted by: cc on August 20, 2005 10:48 AM
17. Hey ABRWH-

Why don't you do something you might consider 'radical'... actually try and DEFEND Roms Sims instead of defaming people who post here--You with your righteous attitude...It'd be nice if you could show some liberal 'tolerance' and try to develop some credibility on this blog, otherwise leave your wailing without substance posts on the other blog sites that encourage that... so here's a suggestion... figure out how to defend Sims, grow up, get a grip, and get a life...

Posted by: ms.piggy on August 20, 2005 11:25 AM
18. ABRWH still has a context problem, I see.

Posted by: ERNurse on August 20, 2005 11:43 AM
19. Erik,

Argumentum ad internetum - You can't find fault with the criticisms of Ron Sims (because deep in your heart you know that Sims no longer deserves the job), so you pick on the website. You're so sweet.

ABRWH,

I get a chuckle every time I hear a liberal whine about how divided the country is - and then in the next sentence they're calling Bush 'Hitler' and generalizing that all Republicans are racist.

Remember - Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was battling against southern Democrats. Which President nominated TWO black Secretaries of State? Oh, George Bush, that's right. Who will be the first woman President? Hillary? Nope. Better odds would be Condi!! You know it's true. We're the big tent party. Your blinders are VERY becoming.

Posted by: Larry on August 20, 2005 11:56 AM
20. CC, you are correct - this was not a race issue until Stefan started comparing Sims with Mugabe, and a couple of your fellow right wingers started posting blatantly racist stuff on Ron Sims threads here. If you want to blame somebody, blame your racist friends. I had been reading this blog for a long time, and never started posting until that garbage set me off. The fact the rest of you refused to even attempt a criticism didn't help your feigned tolerance status, either.

So, Larry - you don't think SP posters calling for the lynching and/or tar and feathering of an African-American candidate (while the rest of the group sits around defending those comments) isn't an example of "racism?"

Way to mimic RNC talking point #472 ('we aren't as racist as we used to be') - I find it quite entertaining when intolerant, angry white right wingers pulls out their cue cards to repeat that spiel. There's a reason the RNC chair recently apologized to the NAACP for the GOP's "Southern Strategy." That strategy worked - you got the yahoo south, won the Presidency as a result, and now only a small percentage of African Americans trust the racist right.

actually try and DEFEND Roms Sims instead of defaming people who post here--You with your righteous attitude...It'd be nice if you could show some liberal 'tolerance' and try to develop some credibility on this blog,

Why would one want to even try and develop credibility on a blog dedicated to conspiracy theories, out of control hatred, and urban mythology? Wouldn't that kind of defeat the purpose, Piglet?

And by calling out all the SP racists, and those tolerate such hatred I am defending Ron Sims. See how that works?

Posted by: AmazedByRightWingHate on August 20, 2005 01:33 PM
21. ABRWH, was this our cue to take you seriously?

Posted by: ERNurse on August 20, 2005 03:25 PM
22. Ohhh, right wing hater, you are so savvy.
I am sick and tired of people like you. You won't bait me into an argument on this.
You don't like it, tough. End of that subject. It serves no purpose, ever, in any forum.

Posted by: cc on August 20, 2005 06:17 PM
23. "Why would one want to even try and develop credibility on a blog when I'm dedicated to conspiracy theories, out of control hatred, and urban mythology?"

That's a good question, ABRWH. So why do you even try? You're obviously a miserable failure (you certainly are at communication), why persist at something you're no good at?

Maybe you should just give up, give in, and turn what's left of your liberal brain off.

Go watch TV.

Or smoke another bowl.....

24. We can end this reign of "Sim-ism" by voting him out in November. We need to get passionate about this. Every one of us needs to get actively involved in the campaign to elect Irons - he is a GREAT candidate and will win if he can get the word out. Sim's has been raising/extorting money for years and will undoubtedly do a media blitz before the campaign. Send money to Irons so we can restore integrity and common sense to the executive branch. VOTE IRONS.
