Monday's King County Council Committee-Of-the-Whole will have a briefing on elections. If this is like all of the previous council meetings on elections, we can expect:
Good questions and comments from Kathy Lambert, David Irons, Steve Hammond, Reagan Dunn, Bob Ferguson and possibly from Jane Hague.
Idiotic questions and comments from Carolyn Edmonds, Julia Patterson, Larry Phillips, Dwight Pelz and Larry Gossett.
Dow Constantine and Peter von Reichbauer will stay quiet the whole time with vacant stares on their faces.
Watch the fun on KCTV starting at 10am. But please, no wagering.

Do I really have to watch this?
Posted by: Deborah on August 15, 2005 01:02 AMKing County is a disfunctional mess filled with graft and dirty dealing. If we send 9 incumbants back in November we send them the message that we approve of the way they do business. Only by my election to the council can we turn this around and give Kathy Lambert and the rest of the "good guys" the tools they need to make some meaningful change in how King County is run.
You have my pledge that I will not rest until we have a complete scrubbing of the voter roles, preferably by a complete re-registering, to ensure that those that are casting votes are legal voters.
If we send the same people back and expect different results we are complete fools. It's time to stop the insanity and change the balance of power.

Key point not to be covered. The difference between legal and illegal votes.
As to watching; my TV would not survive the experience.
