This morning I exercised editorial discretion against the troll who was posting tedious off-topic nonsense under the name "Lush Flimbaugh". In response, I received this e-mail from one Scott Bourne, sbourne@tcq.net :
Subject: you're a d*ck suckerNo, I don't suck d*cks. But who would use such an accusation as an insult unless they think that those who do are inferior to everybody else? And some people accuse Republicans of prejudice against gay people. Sheesh. Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at June 23, 2005 06:02 PM | Email ThisHey Steffy. I see that you couldn't stand the heat I put on you and you banned my ip. No problem. I will just log in tonight from my AOL.com address. You can't ban all AOL addresses. I know it's the republican way to stop dissent, but you won't get away with it with me. I think I will also start making public appearances to force you into debate when you make public appearances, at least when you are in places where the GOP doesn't control the gate.
You're a coward, traitor and a punk. And that's my Constitutionally protected opinion, which I plan to share with anyone and everyone I meet! Your action will only cause me to turn up the heat on you and GOP causes!
I cannot believe someone says he is going to stalk you.

A. You're not in any way a threat to anyone
B. It amuses me
C. It would be impolite to bash your brains in.
That said, what do you suppose you have contributed to the discourse? Changed any hearts or minds? Assisted in bringing out the truth of vote fraud in Washington State? Shared a favorite recipe?
They tolerate you just like they tolerate me.
You should applaud the site for giving you a voice and let it go at that....

Flush doesn't even understand the First Amendment.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Congress did Flush your IP, Shark did. This is Shark's house and as long as your invited you may speak. Just like in my house if you become rude, disruptive, or unwelcome I can ask you to leave. The first amendment doesn't apply.
No one can stop you from starting your own weblog and rant n' raving all you like. Shark is paying for this one and Shark makes the rules.
The First Amendment give you the right to speak, not necessarily to be heard. You can't force anyone to listen. You are not immune from criticism of your comments, a particular weakness of the hollywood left.
Once you make threats however, game ove,r the line from protected speech has been crossed.
Have a nice swirl Flush.

Watching you tonight, the way you are talking to others and the anger you direct at anyone who does not think the way you do has really made me sad for you. I want to lash out at you in this post, to try to hurt you and put you down, but I can not.
I am so thank full to God that my children did not turn out like you, that they are not full of hate and anger like you are.
I will pray for you and your mean and nasty tongue. One day we all try to recover from the damage and mistakes we make in our life. You may someday want to turn your life in a different direction but you can never take back the words you use to hurt others. They are your legacy for life.
I am not saying these things to hurt you but instead hope that one day you can see yourself as others have while you have been a poster to this site. You have shown signs of wit and intelligence but you mix in too much meanness, sarcasm and anger. May God bless you, and in his time and with the help of others around you may he one day heal your heart and bring you a true peace in your life.

Posted by: sgmmac on June 23, 2005 11:59 PMIt's a sign of the times. People like this Scott Bourne are everywhere. Howard Dean, Dick Durban, Ted Kennedy, and many others are acting out like the complete fools they have become, because the left has lost itself, and the emperor has no clothes. Their desperation is indicative of the depth of their frustration. They cannot lead because they have no serious ideas -- only the empty destructive failed socialist bull$hit policies they have foisted on us all for several decades. Alas to no positive avail. We have big troubles on many fronts caused by these policies and we can no longer afford liberal/progressive retrogression. Most sensible Americans recognize that modern liberalism is a farce and want no part of it.
Now liberals are confronted by a leader who leads with honesty and forthright courage and they must destroy him or be viewed by contrast as the fools they really are. GW Bush -- by being everything they cannot be -- proves by example that they are wrong, and they cannot stand the fact that he is in charge. They call him stupid and yet he kindly, firmly, and intellectually kicks their asses at every turn. They frantically accuse him of everything imaginable to the point where it all sounds the same, and no one is interested. After all -- you can only call Bush Hitler so many times before it means nothing any more. Where do you go from there?
HERE! Democrats willingly place our troops at risk in the feild for partisan reasons, and openly shame our allies during a time of war. Democrats to the very top leadership would willingly see our country defeated in a major war and many of us killed before they would forswear their own treasonous political differences with the current administration. Troops coming home are telling the truth -- and it isn't good at all for the Democrats. We did the right things, we are winning, and the world is much better off for it.
Scott Bourne is an exemplar of the enemy within our own citizenry who considers that its own blind rabid hatred equals heroics, and reason, honor, and integrity are anathema. If this "Flimbaw" clown was secure in his/her rectitude about anything it would never waste time carping at Sound Politics like a $hit bird. It proves that it is thoroughly fatuous, degenerate, and willing to make a laughing stock of itself, but mostly it proves itself empty of any worth for or against anything.
I enjoy the comments of many of the contributors at Sound Politics, and I am truly amused by some like this Flimbaw clown also. The comparison in discourse between the left and the right at SP is compelling.
I must admit that it is truly heartening to observe that empty wind bags like Dean, Durban, Kennedy and the likes of Flimbaw are sure signs of the functional collapse of the left. Because that's all they are, that's all they have.
Fair enough.
Posted by: Amused by liberals on June 24, 2005 01:19 AMAs been pointed out, if you do a search for his email address on google, it comes up with a reference to f64.com.
You can use that domain to find out whatever you need to know....
This feller should really look into private domain registration, if he is gonna behave like this on the internet.
Flushie, as I preferred to call him, presented irreverence for irrelevancies sake. He adopted a moniker devised specifically to insult or irritate (although all will take note that it was successful at neither ;'}
The most constructive of criticisms offered up by our jr. troll (unfortunately he wasn't clever enough to advance in rank to "assistant apprentice" was that "Your all loooosers!", which I took to somehow be a reference to bowel movements.....
He increasingly became more strident and more shrill when he did not receive the attention that he craved. Ultimately he got bounced, which, despite assertions to the contrary, rarely happens at this site, and never without acute provocation.
So what did our jr. troll do? Threatened the host. Whadda douche! Oh yea, and he came back and tried to crap all over the site - very classy!
A poster remarked about a post that our little flushie (or "One trick phony", as I once described him, had made at the lefty dog & pony show. I don't normally go there as they have proven themselves to be nothing more than a huge kitty-litter box. But curiosity being what it is, I ventured into the depths.
Flushie had nominated a certain someone as (I will paraphrase) "Most likely to bugger their own kids". Nice piece of work there flushie. The interesting thing was the reticence of any leftie to condemn flushie's words until shamed into it by a "right-wing troll" (I guess it's all a matter of perspective!)
As long as I was holding my nose, I went ahead and took a long look. And then I came back to Soundpolitics and re-read some of the threads here.
And then cut a check (sorry Stefan, but I don't trust PayPal!). I admit that I need an outlet for the misgivings I have over the direction I see Washington state headed, and I know that I don't have the organizational skills necessary to put a site like this out there, so the least I can do is offer some support for those that provide the opportunity for continuing quality entertainment like "The Flushie Show"
Thanks Stefan!
Posted by: alphabet soup on June 24, 2005 07:15 AMSome of you missed Stefan's post above. The posts from Lush here as well as the posts purportedly from Bourne saying that Scott Bourne is not Lush are from the same aol IP address.

Humor aside, it is not really difficult to debate liberals so much as it is useless. The real advantage to the contributions of someone like scott bourne is that they represent the liberal ideology so well; pointless, empty, and emotionally retarded. Ken Schram has a similar proclivity as this other clown toward emotionalism thinly masquerading as intellectualism. He is always angry, perpetually biased without grounds, and the only useful tool he possesses is emotionally charged enraged/contemptuous attack. I actually agreed with a point he made once about public decency but his method of attack was so distasteful that it overshadowed the point. His approach lent undue credibility to his adversary who on the substantive issue was otherwise completely wrong. Beyond loud disrespectful demagoguery Schram folds like a cheap lawn chair.
As you are probably already aware, Nazism is the product of fascist liberalism. The National Socialist Party was a liberal political construction. Citing that fact doesn't lower the debate, it simply tells the truth -- something people like Ken Schram cannot stand because he is an ideologue. Schram slides over the facts of all issues dismissing them as inconvenient nuisances and then deals with ideas he dislikes by insulting anyone who speaks them. He speaks forcefully using fast talk and simple sophistry to overwhelm the situation, but when deliberately and patiently engaged, he cannot deliver a rational argument. The reason is simple— he doesn’t have one.
I found it interesting that you juxtaposed Schram and flimbaw, because Ken Schram and Scott Bourne both exhibit the familiar habits of immature fascist punks. Ken Schram is not to be taken seriously because he is not sincerely inclined to serious debate. The only reason I can imagine that John Carlson gives him so much room, is for the sake of air time and ratings.
Thanks for the comments.
What does that have to do with liberals?
Don't you guys have anything better to do than out foul mouthed trolls, and spend dozens of paragraphs discussing their psychology? Pathetic.

INTERVIEW BY JASON JESSEE
You’ll never meet anyone like Scott Bourne. He has a lust for life that drives people crazy. I love it. He loves it. The confusion factor, high energy, all you can’t handle, art for art sake, any social circle you choose, he’ll pirate right through. High I.Q. Skateboarding punk rock Springsteen, an open palm slap, zero body fat. Dogshit in yer face. I love how it overwhelms. Scott Bourne, straight human high.”
- J. Jessee
Who are you and why are you there?
I am a disease. Because I would rather be a disease then the diseased. I am an action not a result.
What’s so exciting about Europe?
All my life I was told how lucky I was to be an American. They called me free. Well, here I am experiencing freedom. Freedom from freedom.
Ex-American or ex-American patriot?
I always loved America, the principals of the blue collar dollar, but I am an outsider. The things that people do with their lives as Americans, I have never done, never even thought about doing. In short, I have always romanticized the idea of America, but I never felt like an American. I feel I will always be a patriot to the idea America was founded on even though it is a failure. What’s more beautiful than the freedom to fail?
What rules your life?
Love and friendship, I never say no.
Did you ever think about getting fat?
Like I said, I am an outsider.
What would you say you believe in?
I can’t honestly say I believe in anything. I can say I think I believe this or I think I know this, but I’ve lived long enough to lose both of my arms to things I believed in at the time. Experience has taught me that all things are changing. No one belief is so solid that time won’t reveal something else. What I have in life is love. If I love something, I love it when it’s ugly and when it’s beautiful. I stick with the things I care about. I don’t bail, if that can be considered a belief.
Have you ever died?
When my father died, part of me went with him. A history that will never be revealed to the world again. But it wasn’t tragic, it was beautiful. It was our death. We shared it, me, my Mom and my brother, it was our death.
Have you lived lives and died deaths?
Every day is a living and dying experience. There are some things that work for you today but in order to go in to tomorrow, you can’t take them with you. Some things die so that other things can live or just continue. You can’t take it all with you, you’ll overload and collapse.
Is mating gross?
No, the actual act of mating, I feel sure is a beautiful thing. I can’t imagine what it would be like to love someone so much that you actually say “ok, let’s make a child”. I don’t know anyone who has done that. Everyone I know has had to deal with their accidents. On the other hand f--king is definitely repulsive. It’s an animal instinct to mate, but we don’t, we just f--k. It’s a disgusting trick.
Do you want kids? Would you live in Kansas?
Yes. Yes.
Are there parallels in your life?
There have been no coincidences.
Life is shit, right?
Death is the reward, you don’t have to do it forever.
End of the 'SCOTT BOURNE'Lush Flimbaugh story...
(or is it the other way 'round?)

Most I know were uncomfortable with Iraq but were willing to give it the benefit of the doubt at the time. Also, most were/are absolutely fine with Afghanistan. The main objections were/are still to the overreach by the religious right, the cost of healthcare, our debt, and one huge giveaway after another to big business. Of those I know who voted for Bush, the concerns were the same, they just couldn't stand Kerry.

I always learn something here at soundpolitics. Unfortunately, the thing I learn is invariably wrong....
You realize that the poll you're referencing was of respondents who were not US citizens, I'm sure, but facts never get in the way of the free-association conspiratorial rants here.

Anyway, this role-model troll asks; "Can't you guys find a better model liberal?" (referring to Ken "I stared into the sun too long" Schram).
I probably could - if I needed to. But Kenny "Strutz" is so perfectly representational (and so perfectly delusional), why bother looking further?
Impatient to learn the answer to its own query, Christine G further offers: "I always learn something here at soundpolitics. Unfortunately, the thing I learn is invariably wrong...."
Now this one is a real puzzler....If we take it at its word that it is actually capable of learning anything (at Soundpolitics or otherwise) (how could you not), is it lying (and not disclosing the truth of its revelations) or just stupid (and incapable of seeing it when it is amply shoved right under its nose)?
It then states this revelation (apparently a revelation to it alone, unfortunately): "You realize that the poll you're referencing was of respondents who were not US citizens" and then declares (counter to its own disclosure) "facts never get in the way of the free-association conspiratorial rants here." I guess Christine answer its own question...
True enough Christine G - among trolls such as yourself. If this represents the reasoning abilities of the "deep end" I'll stick to the other end of the pool ;'}

At that site, is the following:
"It appears that for the last several months, someone has hijacked my IP, server and email account and used same to send millions of spam mails, post in chat rooms and leave messages on Internet forums. This person or group sometimes used my name.
I do not know for sure who this person (or these people) are but it could be a family member, enemy, competitor or merely someone looking to make trouble.
It seems a bulk of this person's activity centered around supporting the new Washington road gas tax. This is particularly disturbing to me since I have been a vocal critic of the new gas tax plan from the start.
To show my true feelings on the gas tax, I am posting a link here to NO NEW GAS TAX DOT COM.
I only found about this problem on 23 June when I was sent dozens of threatening emails by people who thought I supported the tax and/or were offended by comments made in my name in chat rooms and forums. As mad as that made me, I understand those people's frustration and have taken steps to put a stop to this problem by changing email addresses, servers, installing a new firewall, etc. It took me 12 hours to work it all out.
To my friends who know me and who know the truth about how I feel about the gas tax, please spread the word about the No NEW GAS TAX site to help me get even for this attack.
To people who were spammed by someone using my address, all I can say is I am sorry and we are working to fix the problem."

That was particularly incoherent, even by internet standards. If you can't think of a good reply, just leave it alone.
Posted by: Christine G on June 25, 2005 06:56 AMYou're obviously not sharp enough to play on the internet without assistance. Have you tried www.Barbie.com?
Posted by: alphabet soup on June 25, 2005 07:05 AMSo you do not think that abortion is a constitutional right, that it belongs with the states to determine it's fate?
Posted by: Fred on June 25, 2005 07:58 AMLooks like ole slippery smart-ass Christine G has descended from the intellectual vapors to scold us lowly partisans about rebuking others for their reprimanding us. Then she/it play-acts as if somehow her remonstrations are superior.
Only a snooty brain-dead liberal bitch would pose to find fault with those she unilaterally dubs as fault finders on the assumption her dispassion alone equals supremacy.
No doubt CG will carp at us some more and tell us where we are wrong – after-all, she knows because (unlike us ne’er-do-wells) CG has shown us that she is **certified** in INTERNET STANDARDS.
"I need to talk to someone about my wanting to commit suicide"
"Please hold..................................."
Second, the country is not a liberal as you think. This board is actually pretty close to an accurate example of the nation as a whole. I say this since I get to travel around a lot. for example, I was in California, when A. Swartzenegger announce that he would run for governor. By Friday, it was obvious to me that he would win. Something that the California Press Corp did not get until just before election night, if at all.
Third, health care costs have risen at 4 times the rate of inflaction, since the proposal of "Hillary Care". My biweekly rate has almost tripled. My basic service copay is 4 times higher (just to see a doctor). My prescription copay is 5 times higher. And my dental coverage which use to cover things like fillings and x-rays. Now limits me to one x-ray every 3 years, pays half of what a filling costs and pays only 25 % of major work (crowns, etc) to a $1000 max. I am going to drop the dental since the payment for it costs almost a $1000 year to keep it. by comparision the 9 years before "Hillary Care", my same health plan went up by about 40 percent.
Flush Limbaugh goes away....Christine G reappears.
Coincidence?????
You spend 103 posts talking about a troll, and somehow find a conncection between the troll, Ken Schram (an archetypical liberal who of course voted for Rossi), and the people in England who like China better than the United States.
I note that you have a ridiculous conversation going (you do), and I get called a snooty brain dead liberal bitch, and an "it."
What is wrong with you people? Do you live under rocks? Do you behave in real life this way? I can't imagine you do. Do you have some aggression issues? How are you any better than the foul-mouthed troll? You certainly haven't said anything more intelligent, less profane, or less prejudiced.
Posted by: Christine G on June 25, 2005 10:16 AMWhy don't you spare yourself the indignity of association
(Note: That's a nice way of saying "FOAD")
Posted by: alphabet soup on June 25, 2005 10:31 AMBut it would be so much easier, and more interesting, if you simply acted like a mature, rational adult, don't you think?
I'm not familiar with "foad," btw.
Posted by: Christine G on June 25, 2005 11:09 AMChristine G. Please feel free to point out any post that I have been profane. (good luck)
As for prejudice, everyone has prejudices (and yes, I mean exactly that). I will bet you have at least as many as I do, probably more. But again, if you can, point out instances in my posts. (fat chance)
If the snide remarks and innuendo that you have posted about various others and topics counts for intelligence. Well, let's just leave it at that.
Oh, BTW how many places have you spent 4 or more weeks at outside of WA in the past year to year and a half? For me it was San Diego, CA; Guam , Nebraska and Japan; plus about 25,000 flight miles
Posted by: Mike P on June 25, 2005 01:56 PMMeandering again...why do you want to compare frequent flier miles? Good grief, can't you focus on a single thought for more than a minute? (This isn't a "snide comment" - it is genuinely wondering how you get on in the world).
Posted by: Christine G on June 25, 2005 02:25 PMSince you can not tell the difference between myself and Alphabet soup, I have to wonder the same about you.
And I wrote about 5 topics. If you can not handle more that one topic at a time, that is your problem. This is not a thesis paper, but a blog. Keep up or shut up.
PS: You still have not provided any proof in support of contentions in your statements. Oh thats right, you're a liberal. What you say can be etched in stone, it is always true. (in your mind anyway)
Posted by: Mike P on June 25, 2005 02:52 PMChristine G . . . who, me? . . . no you . . who . . you ? . . . no me. Oh you.
Nice work.
Mike P,
This is not a thesis paper, but a blog. Keep up or shut up.
Mike P you big old Republican meanie you!
Soup,
What me worry!
Seemed to me that Chistine G is more interested in posting her thoughts of the moment than actually engaging in debate on topic.
Posted by: Mike P on June 25, 2005 04:58 PMHmmmmm..........
Posted by: alphabet soup on June 25, 2005 06:24 PMThese additional uninsurered costs have to be recouped by the state and health insurance companies. Which in turn raises the costs for those of us paying for their insurance. Yes, I have good (was better) health care. But I know that the costs will continue to only go up if nothing is done.
If you really want your eyes opened, just ask someone you know to see their hospital bill from their last surgury. It is hard to believe about the $6.00 a piece aspirin's until you read it for yourself. Or the $500 co-pay for the 2 city block ambulance ride to the hospital.
As it is now, most people that have insurance are paying for those who don't. Excessive Court Awards are a part of that cost. Doing nothing will not change this situation.
Posted by: Mike P on June 25, 2005 09:15 PMNew York giving V*agra to inmates I believe was exposed as the obvious bureaucratic snafu it was and immediately halted. There is no defending stupid crap like that, but it happens in big institutions public or private.
Back in 2003, I had unexpected, minor surgery to the tune of about $4500 in and out in less than three hours. I understand it's some of the charges are outrageous, and I am just as disgusted as you are about it. Illegals upping the overall price? Sure, on some levels I won't disagree. But wasn't it Bush pushing for amnesty, AMNESTY, for these very same illegals that has you so upset? Why is that? Not very conservative of him, and the cost to the tax payers... makes you think.
Posted by: CandrewB on June 26, 2005 01:19 AMV**gra is just the tip of the iceberg. And like icebergs that glimpse was only about 2 percent of the whole problem.
As for Amnesty, I agree on the surface it is not a very conservative thing. But at least you can now get most of those same people to start to pay taxes vice working under the table. A small but important step in lowering the effect of costs incurred by the state for illegals.
No country can afford to provide health care for all as the current system of rules and regulations are written.
Posted by: Mike P on June 26, 2005 03:50 AMCandrewB,
I am still praying for you that you don't get terminal cancer. However, my mother had terminal cancer for 10 years and lived with it just fine. She had the usual chemo, radiation, surgery. She had good health insurance. She died very peacefully. Had my mom lived in Canada, I very much doubt we would have had that extra 10 years with her.
That would be people who believe in the bible...
What's wrong with d*ck suckers? Some of my best friends do that, and not a one of them are gay... Or male...
