Linda Sanchez

Democrats just called Linda Sanchez, King County Elections Operations Supervisor. She's in charge of the canvass "which is the reconciliation of the pollbooks after an election".

[I'm told by people who worked on the canvassing crew that the canvass was so f*cked up due to Huennekens changing long-standing procedures, that Linda Sanchez broke down in tears in the middle of it and threatened to quit.]

Hamilton is wasting a ton of time on "cross-over votes", suggesting that he's desperate to change the subject from the real issues.

3. "kind of reconcile the poll books." Huh! "Kind of"!?

She keeps using the phrase "kind of". Not the kind of person I want running elections in my county...

Oh brother.

8. Crossovers do occur but have no overall outcome on discrepency levels. They are very easy to pick up and easy to reconcile.

Much easier then say running dozens of unverified provisionals thru an accu-vote.

9. She seems like a descent person and I think she knows the system inside out.

She IS nervous and intimidated by all of this. But, I wouldn't hold that against her.

They probably need more people like her and fewer political hacks like Logan.

Anyone ever see the hiring criteria dem party lawyers? Do they find it absolutely essential to have mouthpieces with annoying voices?

I'm really getting tired of this guy.

11. Linda Sanchez has been the "You will have to ask her" person during GOP witness direct. She might be torn apart under cross (first tears of the trial?). She has been given up by her party as scapegoat (like N. Way).

Fresh start tomorrow. Plenty of time to prepare.

HEADLINE: Secretary of State's Office is not neutral, GOP says

(...)A Republican attorney grilled the state elections director on cross-examination yesterday in a move designed to show the Secretary of State's Office is "masquerading as being neutral"(...)

State Elections Director Nick Handy testified yesterday in a Wenatchee courtroom that he believed Republicans were "manipulating information" to undermine public confidence in the governor's election.

I feel your pain!!! It's hard to find a R' who can't be bought these days. Handy seems unaware of new FOX paradigm: Fair(ly) (un)Balanced.

Anyway, ST's article gives pretty complete explanation of his opinions/statements throughout, pretty much 50/50 for D/R's. As article quoted, he objects to state RNC's lies/mischaracterizations.

I can understand why SP's can't relate. Peace/freedom/democracy (blah blah blah)etc. etc.

Also, will someone please inform the nitwit lawyers for the dems that it is the Democrat Party and NOT the DemocratIC Party.

Good grief.

36. ***** THIS JUST IN *****

Inspectors from the state departmant of ecology have announced that an audit of K.C. chemical co, a division of Halliburton-Enron, is missing 100,000 gallons of nastium grossate. Operations superintendent Dean0 Bloagan, told reporters that "our inventory meters are so bad, we can't tell how much nastium grossate is missing". Bloagan said that while he can't be sure how much is unaccounted for, "you can't prove that any is missing". A collapsed tank can be seen from the fence, with a large swath of dead barren land between the tank and the Puget Sound.

Attornies for K.C. chemical are arguing that "snot happens, and this is the way we always do it, and get over it".

39. Folks like unkl witz, JDM et al are so blind with rage at the current national administration that it filters down to ANY person in any office who belongs to the Republican party. For them, there is no amount of reason or fact that can satisfy. The only thing that is true for them - be it the liberation and protection of the Iraqi and Afghani people or the elections in Washington state - is what they believe to be true. They create an artificial worldview based on the way they believe the world should be, then scream, holler, cry, accuse, blame and misdirect when they are presented with facts - not feelings, mind you, but facts - that prove their worldview inaccurate and misinformed.

Why would you want to carry on conversations with these folks and others like them? Unless they are willing to sit down and have a reasonable conversion in light of the facts, then even responding to them is a waste of text, space and time.

It's true that two people can look at the facts of anything and disagree about their value or influence in a particular matter. But to deny the facts of a matter outright because they expose the weakness in your position is simple foolishness and arrogance.

Thankfully, knowledgable and intelligent people are no longer letting themselves be duped by the MSM and are learning more about the politics and the social/political world in which they live. This has turned the tide and, with folks like Howard Dean and Harry Reid driving the Democrat party, will serve to continue to marginalize the Democrat party to the point of near extinction, or at least until the point where the realize they have so marginalized themselves that they only represent a narrow, small segment of the population. Or, of course, unless Bridge's rules in favor of the Democrat position in this case, in which dishonest voters will be allowed to continue to exploit the vulnerabilities of our election system to rig the outcomes of votes and keep the minority party in positions of unearned power.

40. yeah, yeah, yah.....us libs are just so hateful of Bush that we can't see the wonderful deeds he's accomplished with his visionary foreign policy.

Just ask the Iraqi's: are you better off today than 3 years ago. Virtually everyone I asked said "YES!" We love America and are more than happy to give up our security and sense of well being, not to mention electricity for most of the day, for that blue finger that got our picture on the cover of Time Magazine.

So go figure... the Iraqi polity is almost at dumb as that of our own country. But we have a great sideshow here in our 'election contest.' It takes your mind off the hundreds of billions spent and tens of thousands of lives lost to fulfill Bush the Lesser's sense of his place in history.

Go George, you will live on in the minds of your admiring supporters, despite your enormous shortcomings. Just like your ignoble hero Ronnie.

Well, I must admit Iraq didn't use Diebold.

Still, the place is (if not already) on verge of civil war. Chimpy's not going to get his oil. Iranian mullah's now have an ally in Iraq.

In other words, Junior dumped $300b + down the sinkhole, generated +-100k deaths, motivated armies of Jihadists for a generation while vindicating OBL claims, ... all to establish another Islamic state. I'd think even you wankers would have trouble stomaching that one.

70% of Iraqi's want us gone. 2/3 of USAsians think the invasion was a mistake. We've increased ranks of radical Islamics many, many fold. For the first time in 2+ decades So. America eliminated us from the annual economic summit (and wouldn't even grant a US seat at table a observer). And Junior's thinking invading Iran?

Ok, on to next wanker...

Actually, I am truly amazed that someone could turn logic and common sense completely on its head, and then stand there and proudly shout out to the world: "Look at me, I'm a liberal idiot!"

yah, sure... whatever.

Entire Ohio GOP powerbrokers now in deep trouble w/"coingate". The AG, governor and Sec of State all tied to Noes. Looks like Shrubbie is as well. With the exit polling statistical analysis discrepencies, all swayed towards Diebold/Sequoia precincts, all of the "coingate" players conspired to kill post election oversight (it's well documented). Multiple state laws were broken: and it's on film.

Please explain how I've "turn logic and common sense completely on its head". You may be able to incite your co-wankers with hyperbole and slurs, but none of this stuff will ever be settled until reasonable people decide to ensure a relibale process, rather than ensure an outcome. I've seen no evidence whatsoever the R's could care less about the former.
