Today's Seattle Times unsigned editorial appears to be trying to throw cold water on the election contest: "The heavy burden for Republicans"
Republicans hoping to overturn the election of Gov. Christine Gregoire have a steep mountain to climb because they rely heavily on an uncertain mathematical formula to prove Republican Dino Rossi collected more votes than Gregoire did.Ultimately, though, the Times argues for the Republican case, albeit, I suspect, inadvertently:
In a contested election such as this, the goal has to be to bring more clarity, not lessWell, yes, which is why the GOP is not asking to install Dino Rossi as Governor to complete the term which ends in January 2009. It is asking for the only remedy which can bring clarity to the totally munted mess of an election: A new election, where the voters, not the courts, or incompetent Democrat machine election officials, or the aging hippie editorial writers, get to decide who the Governor is. What could bring more justice or clarity than simply going back to the voters and letting us decide? Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at May 06, 2005 01:00 PM | Email This
Are these editorial words used when trying sell another tax hike to Seattleites? It's always called "an investment" or "sorely needed" or "wise choices."
Let the trail lead where it may. Let heads roll in shame. Flush out the garbage and have good elections for ALL parties. "Just moving on" solves nothing, depsite what some editors think. They have the big paper pulpit--we only have our faith in a vote cast & counted properly.

Have you looked at the time line lately? Ever see even one thing out of KC that did not favor the dems? Or even neutral? Proportional analysis that.
Think orange.
