"Records and Information Management Month"
Ron Sims has issued a proclamation recognizing April 2005 as "Records and Information Management Month":
 | "WHEREAS, control of records and information is necessary of reduction of risk and liability as well as for compliance with established records management standards and the public records law..." |
(I'm
not making this one up).

1. You know, you really CAN'T make this stuff up!
Astonishing.
2. heehee--it also kind of reminds me of when Saddam Hussein knew the handwriting was on the wall and we were making ready to cut down his sorry, torturing bee-hind of a regime. He issued a new law making WMD's illegal in Iraq, as if that would cure all...
3. This is not uncommon, travel throughout the entire eastern block and what impresses on more than anything is the monuments they have erected to themselves. These folks are cut from the same cloth, ergo why would anyone expect that they would opperate any different.
4. I'm a little concerned about the paperwork reduction emphasis given the history of lost ballots.
5. Too bad he did not issue this in November 2004.
6. Kinda like closin the barn doors after them thar critters is already out!
7. My vote for the #1 HUTZPAH Award for this millenium:
Don Ron Sims King!!!!!!!
For this very proclamation.
8. I need a picture of this emblazoned on my industrial shredder.
9. Marion Berry should be proud of his ideological protege!
10. Shameless or clueless? You decide.
11. JDH,
And what also impressed me is how the locals now scoff at the monuments that were built by the former regimes, and regard them with much disgust and a little salty humor. I've only been to Poland and the Czech Republic, though.
12. Anyone who has ever met Sims in person, is not surprised. Very small brain, absolutely no shame.
13. In the words of "Everybody Loves Raymond's" Frank Barron: "HOLY CRAP"....this is hilarious!!
It almost feels like a Jay Leno monologue where he would say: "In light of the recent election fiascos and apparent suppression of Records by King County's Sims and company, Ron Sims has just announced that this month is "Records and Information Management Month"....(budaching!)
14. First time posting here.
All I can say is ...LOL!
15. I love it! Hey--look at the bright side--Sims' Crew is not assigned to our missle-launch silos!! Hit the button like a crosswalk light--50 times to make sure! Break out the medals for "valor in the face of common sense."
16. Check out that signature... someone sure wants to look & feel important....
(Signature analysis: people that write the first letter of their name large want to look important... the larger the letter, the more they desire it)

18. I called the Division of Records and Elections media contact yesterday and had to leave a message. I wanted to find out more about why the future public forum meetings with Logan were cancelled. Still no call back.

20. Hey--look at the bright side--Sims' Crew is not assigned to our missile-launch silos!! Hit the button like a crosswalk light--50 times to make sure! Break out the medals for "extraordinary courage and valor in the face of serving the ignorant taxpayer-voter." Would love to blow this up & frame it. Like one of those 1950’s horror posters at the movies.
21. LOL Look for this proclamation on the funny pages this weekend! This is
way more hilarious than
Cathy.
22. Would love to blow this up & frame it. Like one of those 1950’s horror posters at the movies---"Attack of the Giant Pinheads."

24. About the signature - looks as though someone is trying to "compensate"..........;'}
25. What really impresses me is that these 'awards' and monuments REALLY impress the 'progressive minded.' Really stude the rise of Nazism and go back and read the acolades comming from the 'progressive' element. Really gives one a window into the world view that allows such rot to continue to be advanced (in the name of 'advancement of the human race and betterment of the hunan condition.' They were SO dismissive and condecending of the intellectual refutations back then, now they dismiss every display of what the realization of their theories have shown as a 'perversion' of the ideal. It still confuses me!
26. KEY SENTENCE:
"ARMA chapters plan RIMM events and activities during April that will help illustrate their roles in helping organizations manage information strategically."
For all you dumba55es, how to lie and get away with it.
27. I want a certifidate on my wall declaring Stefan the king of all people...the one and all knowing person....the one who is always right and never wrong...the one who can attack with no fear of retaliations that will stick....the hero of all truthseekers...with a big WHEREAS at the beginning.
28. Dear Pee-Water:
I like your idea of honoring Stefan for his relentless pursuit of holding those in power accountable to the people AND doggedly pursuing what was actually done in KingCo Elections.
Some of the other stuff you proposed in your resolution is unnecessary (although perhaps more true than you are willing to really admit!)
Stefan is a winner because he doesn't let his ego get in the way. Just like Sgt. Joe Friday from Dragnet:
"Just the facts Ma'am".
29. Splatter:
Usually it's a Dumbocrat I have to take exception with on this blog when someone says something really wrong. Your comment about ARMA is ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!. Do not lump ARMA and RIMM with King COunty. That is what Ron Dims... oops Sims wants you to do. Here is why.
I deal with ARMA. They are a 50 year old organization, dedicated to ensure the right records are kept correctly and are retrievable. Many on their board of directors are certified individuals in records management. Yes, there is a certification exam that tests one on this. They deal with CISSP types in Security issues. Right now they are reaching out to other organizations (hardware and software) looking for improved ways to provide accurate record keeping for Sarbanes-Oxly, HIPPA, etc. Thank the Dumbocrats for Enron-Lay, Worldcom-Ebbers, Tyco-Kozlowski, etc. for these regulations.
So please don't spout off about a legitimate organization without:
1) Doing your homework
2) Looking at the big picture
3) Mischaracterizing the organization with the lousy record keeping of the KCEC.
4) Impugning someone elses reputation with guilt by association.
I usually don't speak out against people on our side, but I am a truthful realist. My religous upbringing would not allow me to let this pass. Because Ron Dims... oops Sims, decides to try and make it look like KC has it's paperwork in order does not justify you to write what you wrote.
Thanks and keep the funnies coming!!!!
Pudster
30. What a great deal.
You can appoint your own auditors.
You can tell everyone your elections division is the envy of the country. Then give your self an award to prove it. All with the blessing of the MSM.
Remember that absurd County Council meeting last month. Geez, all this crap was never challenged in the past. What the heck has been going on around here?
31. I think Ron is mostly impressed with the 1st paragraph of the ARMA website.
"This year’s Records and Information Management Month celebration begins April 1"
It is his way of springing a joke on the whole county.
