Limited space still available for late RSVPs!

The special guest speaker at tonight's Monday's (April 18) meeting of the Downtown Seattle Republican Club is WA state Republican Chairman Chris Vance.

The event will be held at the College Club, Fifth and Madison in downtown Seattle, starting at 6pm, featuring dinner and an after-dinner interview/audience Q&A with Chris Vance.

Come hear Chairman Vance give us an update on the election contest lawsuit, and also hear him outline his vision for the next two years to re-elect Dino Rossi, restore a Republican majority in the state legislature, and elect a Republican to replace Sen. Cantwell.

The only cost is for dinner at the College Club, which will be about $21, all inclusive. Please RSVP by 3pm to ensure dinner. More details on directions and parking here. RSVP to me at:

1. Chris Vance's "vision?"

THAT ought to be a short presentation.

Posted by: Who.... me? on April 12, 2005 03:05 PM
2. who....me

I could not have said it better myself.
It bears repeating that most of these ideas
that chris vance is espousing are mark hulst's
ideas not his.

Besides in order to win races you have to have
money to get your message out.the state gop
doesn't right now. That my friends will
be the biggest obstacle to regaining
the state legislature.

3. Fundraising Campaign?
I am sure the Delay defense fund should have some extra money after his own party tells him to get out.
and we know he doesn't care about the ethics of where the money goes.
So why not get Chris to make it his vision to work with other ethically challenged people. Oh sorry that's what he's been doing up to now.

4. I see you're back to beating up Delay in the absence of something to say again, Dan.

Well, lets chew on these a while, shall we?

Sanders paid wife, stepdaughter for campaign efforts

Wednesday, April 13, 2005 - 8:34:57 AM EST

" WASHINGTON -- Rep. Bernard Sanders used campaign donations to pay his wife and stepdaughter more than $150,000 for campaign-related work since 2000, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission. "

" Jane O'Meara Sanders, his wife, received $91,020 between 2002 and 2004 for "consultation" and for negotiating the purchase of television and radio time slots for Sanders' advertisements, according to records and interviews. "

" Carina Driscoll, daughter to Jane O'Meara Sanders and stepdaughter to the lawmaker, earned $65,002 in "wages" between 2000 and 2004, campaign records show. "

" Driscoll, a former state legislator, served as Rep. Sanders' campaign manager in 2000, his fund-raiser and office manager in 2003 and his database manager in 2004, according to Jeff Weaver, Sanders' chief of staff. "

" No laws prohibit candidates from paying family members for campaign work. But the appearance that lawmakers use their position to benefit people close to them concerns watchdog groups. "

" "If it's corruption when Tom DeLay does it, then it's corruption when Bernie Sanders does it." "

10. Chris needs to be careful as he is the easy MSM target. I'm glad he has been silent recently. That's the best strategy. Let the facts and LEFTIST missteps speak for themselves. Otherwise, any Vance harsh comments will be blown up and Vance will become the issue. WATCH!

look old buddy I can understand that your
trying to fill the seats. But you have to
realize that chris vance just isn't a big
draw anymore.

Its because he doesn't have the support
anymore that he once did.Its true I don't
like chris vance.I dont like what he did
to mark hulst and I dont like what he and his
crowd are doing to steve hammond.

You made not may not like what i have
said about chris vance and that's ok
Its not easy but we all at one point
or another have to have the courage to
face the truth.

I don't like saying this but everything I
Have said about chris vance is the truth.
everything i have said in the past i can
back up.

13. I would like to hear what Chris Vance's plan is to keep Republicans from joining those tax happy democratic idiots voting on the huge gas tax increase. If he doesn't have a plan there, then he is lost.

14. Cheryl...congrats on getting all the right-wing lemmings to joyfully cheer your list of democratic bad deeds. Nothing surprising there...except you and their complete lack of willingness to say the truth: BOTH SIDES do it.

Can you admit it? In front of your fan club above?

Namely, can you agree that politicians from both sides lie, cheat, steal, have poor ethics, etc?

Or do you continue to live in the world of Republicans are saintly and democrats are evil? (before you answer, please remember that the list of republican misdeeds is at least as long as the list above)

Posted by: Pierre Drinkingwater on April 16, 2005 05:14 AM
15. A h h yes, the old ever popular everybody does it arg. Started this in grade school huh.

No drinkingwater, Republicans are not all saintly, some are liberals, but they don't deliberately drink from the toilet.

Straighten up.

16. How does it feel to be losers in Washington State? It must be Heartbreaking to be losers and will never win a statewide office. King COunty is ours. Soon, Spokane will be ours too. Face it. You all should just convert to liberalism before we make you! The GOP is the party of the past when you look at the polling numbers. Yeah the country was sure with you all with Shiavo... oh wait they are with you on Delay...Oh wait they are with you on Social Security.....damn your stench is getting worse not better.

17. I would love to hear an update from Chris on how Dean "weird Al Yankovic's evil twin" Logan faired in the deposition today.
The heavy money is on Logan to cave in under intense questioning about his prior public statements and his actions....
particularly what Election Official Yankovic reported to Canvassing Board Member Yankovic and his trusty bloodhound sidekick Larry Phillips.
To be a fly on the wall for that deposition!

18. Drinking, Your comments are right on - both parties pay family to do stuff, both parties get fines for doing stuff they are not meant to. The point here is that your ilk come to this site and spew Delay critism all over the place and how immoral he is and hence the decline of the GOP etc. etc.

As you said, both sides do it. No one here has been critisizing the dems for doing it. The dems are changing subject to the reps payments as if the dems are oh so moral. The dems are just as much in the muck on that point, so please STOP BRINGING IT UP!

So now you have it - it is in the open on this site.

It is also nothing to do with this site so clear it off this site.

Now that it has been admitted on this site, would you like to admit that the election was screwed up, as that actually is the topic? That laws were broken? That things are being hidden? or are you just going to continue your "Delay did this.." trash?
