Embalm the vote...

... and then check the ballots by hand! (As if that makes any difference when you've got a deceased voter.)

With big thanks to Cox & Forkum!
We hoped they would do a cartoon on this topic (ok, we begged them to).

Wonder if we saw the same movie?

1. Was it just the dead?
My wife and I moved from Washington to Oregon last June. We put in a change of address with the Prescott, Wa. post office to have our mail forwarded.
Last September we both received ballots for some kind of election (can't say what they were for since we didn't open them). Keep in mind that where we lived all balloting is done by mail. We took these ballots to our now local post office here in Boardman, Oregon.
The Postmaster here thought how strange that the Prescott, Wa. Postmaster would forward these ballots out of state since these pieces of mail were clearly ballots, they were in green envelopes and well marked. The local Postmaster said she would return them and note the new address they are forwarding to is our of state.
Fastforward to last October. We again received absentee ballots and voter information for the state and national election.
All this leads me to wonder weather how many others moved out of state and received the ballots like my wife and I received.

2. Good going, Brian!

I'm working with another cartoonist on this.

3. I moved from Bellevue to Seattle between the primary and the general. I sent a written change of address on 09/21/04. In mid-October I got my absentee ballot at my new address and a few days later got another one forwarded from my old address. Are they really this incompetent or do they do things like this to help cover up the fraud?

4. Where's Puff Daddy when you need him?

"Vote or Die" just became "Die for Vote"

5. Heh, I have been nagging Allen to do a cartoon on this story for a while too. I'm glad he finally found an angle that worked. I know the caption almost makes it sound like I'm one of the guys on this site - maybe in the "reader" category. I mentioned that to him.

It annoys me to no end how Liberals can rant and scream about a 100,000 vote win in Ohio for Bush being "Obvious Fraud" yet declare that THIS race is somehow pristine and honest.

Keep up the good work!
