1. I emailed my request to Geoff Simpson (D 47th dist.) to not ratify the election and support the revote. He responded, via email, that if the GOP has evidence of fraud they should contest the election. If the charges are legit, he will support a revote. However, it does not sound as if he is convinced to support the revote at this time.

2. The "no proven fraud" objection is a red herring. The law for contesting elections references either fraud, or mishandling of ballots. There has been clear mishandling of ballots--there may well be fraud too, but it's irrelevant. The mishandling of ballots, between dumping provisional ballots in with regular ballots, and having thousands of voterless votes, is more than enough to send this one back.

If the BIAW's suspicions of fraud are true, that's just icing on the cake.

3. Please post a copy...our Chamber of Commerce has a candidate's forum every election year, and I'd love to ask him about it.

4. Funny how my (R) state senator's office responded promptly to me letter requesting he not ratify the election, but both the (D) representative and (D) rep-elect have refused to respond.

No surprise that they'll march along to the party tune and ignore the citizens' will.

5. Ditto thanks to Todd for doing this.

Note this list is missing @ least 1 new Legislator:
7th District Rep. Joel Kretz
kretz_jo@leg.wa.gov

... Although if he is the only one missing (no time to do list compare right now), no worries:
Rep. Kretz is a fellow-member and former President of the activist Okanogan County Farm Bureau; and lead the charge against the State FPB bureaucrats for the WSFB during the RMAP fight. I can guarantee y'all that he does not need to get any email to go all-out to support Dino. :-]

6. If I've not mistaken, this is a list of the old legislature, not the incoming one. I see Carlson on it, outgoing 49th senator, but not Fromhold, incoming 49th senator.

7. Correction. Sorry. I confuse Fromhold and Pridemore. Pridemore is the new 49th senator and he's not in the list.

8. Cheryl,

Thank you for your reply. Because we live by the rule of law in Washington and the Untied States as a whole, we cannot and should not make public policy decisions that change the result of an election based on public opinion polls. The laws in Washington with regard to elections are clear and they were followed. If the GOP can produce credible evidence of election fraud that is legitimized by a court, then perhaps we should have a new election and certainly the perpetrators of the fraud should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I represent all the taxpayers in the 47th district, even those who are writing me to say that a re-vote should not occur. And I refuse to make arbitrary
decisions where the law is clear. Show me that there has been a violation of the law that tipped the election to Gregoire and I will be
first in line to ask for a re-vote. But don't ask me to do it just because public opinion polls say I should. Thanks again.

Geoff [Simpson]

9. At least Rep. Simpson is not using "form email." The reply to Cheryl is a different reply than the one he sent to me.
