Reminder: The guest speaker at tonight's dinner meeting of the Downtown Seattle Republican Club is Maggie Fimia, Shoreline City Councilmember and former King County Councilmember. Maggie is a prominent Democrat who sets a laudable example of forging alliances with Republicans. She has been a tough critic of publicly-financed "boondoggle" projects, including Sound Transit and the sports stadiums. She will discuss how rank-and-file Republicans and Democrats can join forces to fight wasteful government spending and demand cost-effective solutions to our regional needs.
The dinner is from 5pm - 7pm at the College Club at Fifth and Madison. Open to the public and the only cost is the ala carte dinner from the College Club menu ($10 - $20). For more details, directions and information about FREE parking, see this web page.
