Help defend Dino

Now that the Washington Democrats are turning to selective lawsuits to get around Dino Rossi's lead in the vote count, the rest of us need to fight back to defend a fair electoral process.

Here's what you can do.

Since provisional ballot information is already being released, the Washington State Republican Party is calling voters whose ballots were challenged to inform them and give them the opportunity to respond to the challenge so their votes can be counted. Volunteers are needed today. Contact Nicole Linde at WSRP 206-575-2900, ext. 19; or mobile: 509-830-0278

[an earlier version of this post mentioned a countersuit related to provisional ballots. This suit will not proceed as a judge ruled that it is too late ]

1. Stefan and everyone,
The judge has refused to hear our challenge, saying it is too late. We had intially thought we had until Monday, but that has changed. Therefore, there is no need to e-mail me, let's hope this gets resolved fairly. Thank you for trying to help.

2. Is there anything else that can be done for Dino? I'd REALLY hate having to do a "Sorry, Everybody" website for the state!

3. Please give up this fight, it is getting riduculous and costing so much money. WIth such a close race - a good amount of people are unhappy either way, the best way to salvage the situation is to reduce drama and money spent. Please for everyone!
