I Don't Like Ike

The Kitsap Sun reports that the non-profit agency operated by State Representative William "Ike" Eickmeyer is under investigation for "irregularities":

The Washington State Gambling Commission is investigating Sound Institute of Family and Children's Services, a nonprofit organization whose executive director, Bill Eickmeyer, is running for his fourth term as state representative for the 35th District.

Asked about the ongoing investigation during a public forum, Eickmeyer denied the organization just outside of Bremerton's city limits is under scrutiny. Officials at the state gaming commission said Sound Institute was notified in July.

Busted!

The article doesn't mention which party Eickmeyer belongs to, so I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to figure out whether he's a Republican or a Democrat. Please, no cheating.

The investigation won't be completed until after the election, which is less than ideal, so the cautious voter might assume that the conclusions are not favorable to Rep. Eickmeyer.

Eickmeyer is a member of the Axis of Evil, so this is a good opportunity to say throw the bum out. If you live in the 35th District, it's your civic duty to vote for his opponent, Bob Benze
