I spoke at two different neighborhood meetings about the levy this week and both times I had to suffer through the same Monotonous Monomythical Monologue given by the same Monorail project Monotreme, who is also making the rounds. She was a perfectly nice lady, but it's a bit too much for the Monomaniacs to go around saying what an important and beautiful milestone it is that the SMP likes the submitted proposal so much that they're willing to start negotiating with the bidder. Go figure. What else are they going to do? There's only one bidder. The only options are either open negotiations or dissolve the SMP and all of their jobs.
Then the Monotreme pulls out a map showing the fictional Phase 2 of the Moronorail with a zillion new lines criss-crossing Seattle. Could somebody give these ADD Monopeople some Ritalin and force them to focus on making their one imaginary $1.6 billion project work, assuming, optimistically, that they even can. Once they prove success (hah! make my day) then maybe they can try to duplicate it.
With any luck at all, the State Court of Appeals will rule on Monday to allow the Monorail Recall Initiative to proceed and we can end this mono-idiocy once and for all.
